  • holy shit balls. Now that is a score!! Amazing find for sure man, congrats. If anything is a double please let me know. I still need a Toobin for sure. Pipemania for 5 bucks is a steal and a freaking half, I just paid 300 for mine.

  • If you run across a CIB Twin Eagle, I'd love to trade ya!
  • Nice, where did you find that Pipemania for so cheap?
  • Thanks guys. I've been keeping an eye out for HES games lately and I've been able to pick up quite a few. I'll let you know if I end up with any doubles image

Hudini - I picked it up at market near my place =)

Because my HES collection has been growing, I've noticed there's a whole bunch of variations. Obviously cardboard VS. video style boxes. But the flat carts were also released in thinner video boxes too. So potentially, there are three different versions of some games.. Makes it very exciting!
  • There is more than 3 for some games. Some also have upside down labels like Impossible Mission 2 and Arctic Adventures. They are also different style standard carts as well if you look closely image

Has anyone ever found a sealed HES game? I have a sealed Maxi but I know anyone else who has ever found a sealed one.

  • Great finds samhead image I too have noticed the thinner plastic video box for standard carts as well as the cardboards. The variations I've found for the standard carts is the lip at the top on them or not. They sure did change there manufacturing processes a lot! Probably just trying to keep costs down as much as possible.
  • I've found it really hard to classify all the games in my database thingy, cos of all the variations! Like the 2 different flat carts - 1 normal and 1 with the plug adapter bit (For the dongle I assume?).

Btw Zzap, my list is still on its way! This was my last week of uni..so its coming!

  • nah, there's like a little lip on the end of some, and it's just flat on others...I can take some photos if that's not descriptive enough
  • Damn Samhead, they are some very nice finds!!! Nice work!
  • HES has a TON of variations:

    1. clamshell vs cardboard

    2. normal width clamshell vs smaller width clamshell

    3. white clamshell vs black clamshell

    4. flat cart vs piggyback vs dongle

    5. flat cart w/lip vs flat cart w/o lip

    6. flat cart w/color label vs flat cart w/black & white label

    7. upside down label vs right-side up label

    8. hyper boy vs non-hyper boy packaging sticker (ie, Real Player's Pak)

    9. instructions on reverse side of clamshell insert vs packaged instructions

...and more, I'm sure, that I couldn't think of off the top of my head!
