Hello, my name is MachineGex and I'm helpless collector
Well, I have been lurking for a long time and thought I might as well introduce myself. I am a lifelong player(got my first 2600 in 78'-79). Yeah, I am old. Most of you will recognize me from Digitpress.
Got my NES from my high school girlfriend and have been collecting/gaming since. I love the hunt. I use to live in Northern California and have made a few good finds. I once bought a Gold NWC and didnt even know it. Long story, but I bought a box of about a 100 NES games for $80. I saw the gold cart and thought it was a zelda cart without a label. I pulled a few games outta the box and put the rest of them in my office. Several mounths later a friend asked if I had an extra zelda he could borrow. I remembered the label-less zelda and pulled it out. Needless to say I was floored! I had just read about it on the internet(must have been 2002-2003). Needless to say, the Gold NMC cart has been sold. I got a good price but nothing like the money it goes for now.
I have also found a few protos for NES in the wild along with a few 2600 lab-loaners. The NES protos have found a home with a well-known collector and I have held onto the lab-loaners.
I have almost a complete (cart-only) NES collection, along with a respectable snes & genesis collection. I love gaming on most systems and keep an atari, intellivision, O2, NES, etc. hooked up at all times.
The only "big" titles I need for the NES are Bonks & Rescue Rangers 2. (I really want RR2, so anyone who needs an extra Powerblade 2, let's talk!)
Anyways, great site and I hope to get to know a few more members!

Tom is the God damn man. He's one of the nicest guys that I've had the pleasure of dealing with online.

I have dealt with Tom several times over the years and had the pleasure of chatting with him on the phone. Out of all of the deals I have had, with all of the different members I have dealt with, Tom is hands down #1 in my book.
Very, very glad you made it this way Tom, hope you stick around for a long time!
