Other things you do beside collect video games

So I was wondering what others do beside collecting video games. I spend most my time with my car that I'm trying to restore. Here are some pictures.

the third picture has me in it. I would make anyone look short since I'm 6'7''

Plus if you live in New Jersey you might recognize the Pete n Eldas shirt I got on. If you don't know what pete and eldas is you are missing out.

and heres a reason to pay attention while working on the shocks, the springs that hold up your car hurt

  • Very cool. Is that a 69' cutlass? is that a sbo or a bbo? Im a huge Oldsmobile fan. I Have a 83 Hurst/Olds in the garage. and have owned a 68' cutlass with a 350, a 81 formula with a 455 BBO, and a 85 442 with a 455.bbo Oh and im 6'8" and a half #280 so you would probally look small next to me.
  • Blasphemy!!
  • yeah its a 69 350 sbo was a good price too all of free so it was a hard thing to turn down also came with a twin 69 cutlass but a hardtop with a bench seat the convertible got the buckets
  • seems like all i get done is working
  • I would love to know how to work on engines and stuff.  It would be so cool to get an old car and completely restore it.  Sadly, the most I can do is check my oil.  I don't even know how to pump my own gas! (I live in NJ)
  • I like to play in the mud and go fast....

  • Big Autograph Collector!!!
  • My poor 4 wheeler has been sitting at my moms house for the last 3 years unridden. I wish there was more time in a day
  • I'm a big fan of Homestar Runner and spend a lot of time at the Homestar Runner Wiki.
  • I am a pretty big shoe whore, I collect a lot of Adidas type casual and athletic shoes. I actually think I have more pairs of shoes than my girlfriend.. Heh.. Pwn'd image
  • I play World of Warcraft. image

I collect vinyls of my favorite albums and I'm starting to collect first edition hardback versions of all my favorite author's novels. If anyone likes reading fiction, check out Haruki Murakami.
  • I do athletics and cross-country running - takes up most of my time. It's a great sport. I've gotten an offer for a scholarship over in the States, where abouts is Tolsa? Is it a nice place?
  • Tulsa you mean? It is in the middle of the US in Oklahoma. Everything is flat there with lots of tornadoes. image

  • I'll always have a soft spot for old comic books (see avatar image for a 60 yr old specimen ) as I collected them for 15 years (but sold everything good really to buy games). Still have lots of them though but not many of the three digit and none of the few four digit ones I had anymore. :/
  • You have changed your avatar like 3 times this week, lol. You keep me confused. That is how I tell who made the posts image

  • I do lots of things. I'm the kind of guy who keeps busy all the time. When I'm not buying games, I'm either:

Hangning out with my girlfriend Kristen - I spend a lot of time with her. She's my best friend as well as my girlfriend, so we hang out a lot. She tells me she wants to sell my collection and go on a shopping spree for clothes. I tell her hells no.

Going to school - As I said in the "Who here goes to school thread," I'm currently gettting my Master's at the University of Ottawa. This keeps me really busy as I'm constatly either reading, going to class or writing my thesis.

Going to the gym - As seen in some other thread that I can't remember the name of - I work out a lot. I go to the gym 6 nights a week. I'm currently training for a little bodybuilding contest with my friends. I've been training for this kind of stuff for 2 years now. I used to run a lot... I ran a marathon, and then I got bored with it so I started working out instead. I pretty much go from one thing to another until I get bored with it. That's why I like video game collecting - there's always stuff that I don't have that I can collect image

Filming skateboarding - I make movies for a local store in Ottawa. If you search my name (Will Bowins) on Youtube, you can see some of the little promos that I've made. I had my first full video premeire about 9 months ago. That was pretty sweet.

Playing Poker - I've recently got into this Texas Hold'em phase that has been going around. I play in local tournaments quite frequently. Like collecting video games, poker really gets my heart racing (seriously).

    Wow nice shot!

Anyways, my free time is usually spent playing Dance Dance Revolution. I'm really good at it now (I've been playing for about 3 years). Does anyone else play DDR?

    Huh? image
  • Spork, I was gonna comment on your avatar before but the thread seemed inappropriate so i'll say it now: Nice image

I play DDR, own CobaltFlux doubles set and all PS2/XBox releases. I pass on In The Groove, not my kind of music. I like the more ecclectic collections that the DDR guys come up with, techno/trance ain't my bag.

I currently play most 8-step and some 9-step doubles, although the fastest stuff I can't master since I weigh about 220 lbs and simply can't move that quick image Not a "tiny asian."
  • Huh?

Argh!!! Your killing me. I remember when you didn't know how to change yours a few months back. LOL We created a monster! image

  • I build movie props in my spare time. (10 points for whoever guesses what movie. )When I'm not doing projects for Dr.Morbis. I repaired his Coleco and Leasurevison recently.
  • Is the movie ghostbusters

Yes, yes you did image I'm sure I'll get bored of it soon but its kinda fun for now.

Actually, the reason I created all of these was because I was trying to do a rotating avatar that would flip through five or ten different images. I couldn't get it to work though.
  • I'm a geek of all trades.

Let's see...Collection wise I'm in to Macross and Robotech shit. Batman comics. Graphic Novels. 80's cartoons. Pirate shit. Anime.

  • cool, can you post some macross/robotech pics? I freaking loved that show when I was a kid.

Maybe five years ago I sat through the whole macross, master, invid episodes. We're talking like 40 hrs of hardcore geekdom! I hadn't seem them since I was 12 so it was a blast but unfortunately the quality of the video sucked. I was thinking about buying the dvds and doing it again but I don't think I can spare the time/energy. Remember, protoculture = love.
  • Mmmmmmmm.... Robotech

I've always loved Macross/Robotech... I used to have a massive collection of these up until 2-3 years ago when I finally sold off all my toys.
