Old Time Lurker Deciding to De-cloak
Hello All,
I'm by no means new to the Nintendo scene, I've been buying off of Ebay since 1999, and I've been lurking Digitpress since around 2001, and Nintendoage for maybe 2.5 years. I've gone by many different names on collector forums, but I've made sure to keep a very low profile. I'm one of those semi-paranoid guys that doesn't want anyone to know what is in his collection, for fear of being robbed (it's happened to me before unfortunately). I haven't decided yet if I want to share the contents of my collection publicly.
Lurking has been getting pretty boring recently, and I've decided that I might as well start building a positive rep for myself instead of being the guy who only uses message board accounts to buy stuff.
Besides collecting NES, I'm a huge fan of Late 80's/ early 90's toys, fads, designs, shows, music, and culture.
I'm currently living in the Midwest, completing my PHd in Accounting at a very prestigious University (I want to be a Professor/Researcher
).

I was a military kid, so I lived my childhood in 4 year segments in 3 different countries and 2 different states. I lived in San Pedro, California from 1991-1995. It was a great time, and a great place to be during it. We were right next to the ocean, and I have wonderful memories of playing games like Super Metroid while looking out the window, watching the waves crash against the shore.
all i seen was your avatar and i flipped

Welcome, glad to have you. You'll not find a more open and honest bunch on the net, but I understand not letting your guard down. Was stuff stolen right out of your house? I have stuff stolen from me all the time, but people just use Paypal for it normally.
Yep I was burglarized. Luckily the burglars just grabbed my PS2, Xbox, and GC, leaving behind all of the older games and hard or impossible to replace items. I'm naturally a pretty cautious person, so having my living space violated only made it worse.

Same here, I was robbed, and all they took was my N64 and the 92 loose games I had for it at the time. But still, I'm a lot more cautious now and have several security measures to protect myself now (and catch the bad guys
welcome aboard (officially)!
