An excellent deal for a game flipper like me.

Went to some overstock/defect thrift store in Alabama tonight, and they had a crapton of copies of Modern Warfare 2 for 18 dollars. The majority had the circular scratches of moving the system during play on the discs or light ripping of the plastic covers, but I'm getting them buffed out and switching really bad covers to flip hopefully for $40-45 a piece. I guess this could kind of be a sell thread as well, so if you want a copy, PM me. :-)

  • Ok

Maybe next time the small scores thread would be more appropriate

  • Sorry? I'm a bit confused on the differences...
  • That's pretty cool; are you able to get finds like this often?
  • It was actually my first time going there. I'm still somewhat new to the area and saw the store yesterday, so tried it out today. But it definitely will be on my radar in the future.

basically just the magnitude of the find. not really a big deal.
  • Ah, thanks for clearing that up, Robbie. I guess I thought it was a big deal. :-( (Not really, I just didn't know the other thread existed, but now I do. image)

    Thanks again.
  • Eh, I thought it was a pretty big deal in the fact that it brings to light a new possible way to find games for some people...I've never heard of a store like that before, but now I'll check around and see if there's anything like that near me.
  • good find dude!
  • I think they're often called "salvage stores" as well. Hope you can find something like that near you, and may it be stocked with copious amounts newly released games for dirt cheap. :-)
  • Nice find. Nothing like that in my area.

Yeah we have all done it, but we try to keep the threads clean. No Harm done at all. Good luck on your sales image
  • Yeah, there are definitely deals to be had at salvage/wholesale stores...there are 3 or 4 here in Cleveland alone, and at one, I found an Xbox 360 wireless controller for $10, still in its original packaging (though opened). Ended up selling the controller for something like $30... At another, I found Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii for $12. Should've kept that one, I think...
