Having problems with a new computer

so I just got a new computer, but I'm having a lot of problems with the internet. Many times I have to hit links or buttons multiple times before the page will open, pictures take forever to load, and many times will not until I refresh multiple times. Any ideas on how to fix this? Oh, and btw, I use Firefox, but the same thing happens with IE.

    Cable or dial up? If cable, you on a wireless router or plugged in? Try reseting your modem and router, turn them off for like a minute or 2, then fire them back up. If your on dial up, get high speed image

    Comes from many a crapfest from my linksys router. Glad it was an easy fix for you though.

    You using a Belkin router/access point? I had one and was about ready to throw it against the wall by the time I got rid of it, every two days it would crap out and need to be reset.



    I'm using a Linksys now and it's rock steady.

    Exact same thing happens to me Dan with my belkin... I cant stand it!!! just cant get myself to go down and spend the money on a new one... image
