Found some good stuff on my trip to Austin TX

So me and my wife went to Austin to get away for a bit and i found a store on the internet near our hotel. So we went to check it out and they were having a new years sale. 99 cents for any sports games 10$ and under. so i picked up about 30 games. The best game for 99 cents i got was bases loaded 4!! But if i paid regualar price i wouldve spent around 250-300$ there.

then i looked in the glass case and saw chip & dale 2 for 29.99$. my wife bought me that. so now im down to the last 315 or so to complete my collection.

If any of you go to Austin TX check out the stores called Game Over. Really nice store and nice people. but only go when there is a sale.  Most games are 10$ and up.

  • Nice score on the Bases Loaded 4! I have been wanting that one since I saw it recently. I didnt realize they had four in the series. I like the label art.
  • Nice. Is that a mom & pop store?
  • Nope it's a chain. They have like 3 stores in austin
  • I love the 99 cent sale at Game Over... I picked up about 30 carts... some games I didnt have, some I got because of screw variants, and some to replace games I had in poor condition. I use to work for them back a couple of years ago (which is when I started collecting). There regular prices are usually a bit high but that is more for the stuff that most everyone wants (like Mario games, Punchout, contra, and so on). It's not a bad place to go to get games that aren't in as high of demand like Sqoon and it is a great place to check out whenever they have a sale.
  • It's actually owned by one guy (Dave). He started with one store, and then opened another, and then one more.

Great guy - it's pretty much the only non-corporate gaming option in the Austin area.
  • LOVE the animation in your sig! .99 a game is awesome
