OCDsteeldor's Fantastic Finds Thread

I will start this thread with one of my best finds ever! THIS Exertainment Mountain Bike Rally/Speed Racer combo! I believe this title will become the future "Stadium Events" for the Super Nintendo. image

  • Are you going to keep the bike rally/speed racer or will you sell it? I would be interested in buying it..
  • Nice find..  Both are those are very hard to find.
  • Well congrats on the find!
  • Congrats on the find Dan! VERY VERY tough game to find. Man did i tell you i had a chance to buy a CIB one of those AND it came with the system and bike trainer parts for $150.00, ugh still wish i took it but it was a REALLY far away pick up and i never got the time :-(, and i was scared to send money away because person had NO feedback at all. Anyways excellent score bro!
  • I got these Nintendo playing cards in the mail today. I don't know much about them but they are actually much smaller than a standard deck of cards. They have that "real old" smell to them, it's very nice! I also really like the design for each of the cards. I guess you could call them the first Nintendo game ever! image Does anyone have these or can anyone point me to a website with info on them? Thanks!
  • Excellent score with the MBR/Speed Racer! You seem to have a lot of good SNES finds.

I know a guy who has a bunch of those Hanafuda cards, they're really neat. An interesting part of Nintendo history!
  • All I know is that is before the made any videogames, they were a card/toy company, cool find
  • Got some great stuff in the mail this last week! Got this SFNES T.M.N.T. Mutant Warriors prototype in the mail today:

    Proto found in THIS auction!

I was in the right place at the right time for these two NWC/PowerFest/Wizard guide auctions. There were really no obvious keywords that would have set off any saved searches. I was very lucky! Auction # 1 | Auction #2 | Auction #2 for resale image image

Finally, I have been wanting one of THESE SNES MACS carts for awhile. I got it for about $100-150 less than it usually goes for! Now I just need the gun...

It's been a great week! image
  • Nice finds man,Congrats.Don't you just love those cheap BIN auctions? It looks like you will make a good amount off of those NWC mags.-Chad
  • Nice finds man! Do Super Famicom proto's generally sell for less or was that just a real lucky win (I'm wondering because it seems like the auction would have triggered a lot of searches as it has the word "prototype" in it)?

Those NWC/Powerfest/Wizard BIN's are great -- finding them all together like that, in such condition, and at that price -- lucky!! image

Thanks guys! I don't know much about protos, so I have no idea what the "market value" would be for this one, but I didn't even have a SFSNES system or any of those games until I won that auction! I figure the end price was fair just for those image
  • Actually, I think SNES/SFC protos of actual released games generally sell in the $100-$300 range, depending on the game...unreleased games bringing anywhere from $300-$1200. This one, I think, would have to be more in the $250-$300 section of that range.
  • so is this game like turtles in time?

Yeah, Those prices sound pretty good to me image I guess the best way to find the "market value" of a proto would be a well listed auction on ebay. The problem is ebay does not like the word "prototype" and will usually cancel the listing from what I have heard.

Qix: The game is TMNT "Tournament Fighters". It was called "Mutant Warriors" in the rest of the world. It's basically just like Street Fighter II but with TMNT characters. From the 20 minutes I played there was very little Japanese text and all the voice work was in English. I don't know if there were any differences as I don't have the regular released version yet. image

Oh, that what I call a nice find (not least since I was the one who won "auction 2 for resale"... Seems as I bid like an real idiot...(but that is of course not you fault, even if the statement that "I have never seen either of these at auction before" forced me to put in some extra gears in the end:-)
