    This happens all the time with more expensive items, which is why eBay hides your user ID now once bidding reaches a certain amount (i think $150). The scammers expect you to email them and complete the transaction through email and pay via bank wire. Yeah right! Their percentage of success has to be so low. If they were smart they'd set up a quick phishing page that looks exactly like the auction, and when they go to pay with PayPal, get their account info. Wow I should do this. Just kidding of course.
