  • Are you sure it doesn't work? I'm positive the SJ3 doesn't have a lockout chip. If someone was going to make a pirate NOAC, they wouldn't bother installing copyright devices when they aren't required. It's possible that the cart you are trying to play just isn't supported by the SJ3. I'm sure the fine folks over at http://forums.benheck.com can help you out. In fact, I know they have complete pinouts for the SJ3 stickied in the NES section.
  • thanks ,I tryed a few games on it with out any luck. forgot what games i tryed but thought maybe it had a lockout chip, the inside did not look like the nes so the "how to remove the lockout chip on the nes" did not help . ill try my luck asking over there
  • I don't really want to ask the obvious question, but you are using a fami-to-NES converter correct?
  • Yeah, the only thing you need should be a 72-to-60 pin adapter. Or to wire the super joy up to a 72 pin.
  • was not using a converter just inserted the nes cart & nothing came on screen. where is the cheepest place to get one? i was hopping the was a way to fix it with out having to buy the converter cart. also know if the power pack works on this ,i know it will on my toploader

the converters cost anywhere from 15 to 35 dollars
  • My Super Joy seriously blew chunks. It smelled like burning plastic whenever I was running it. I eventually just got a Generation NEX and play fami games on that.

Since famiclones all have compatibility issues with some of the best games, though, you might want to consider just getting a toaster and getting an adapter to play fami games on the toaster (the opposite adapter, 60-72 pin). Then all your games will work.
