Uploading pics issue

Please dont give me a link to another topic because i know how to upload pics....  This is more of an on and off thing with adding images on NA.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. 

Im typing a message.

I hit the 'add image' button

a new box pops up

I highlight my pic name from my NA folder

I see the image in the "image preview" box

I hit "ok"

Than nothing happens... it refreshes itself and I see a big X in the "image preview" box and it keeps asking me to add an image.

This has been a consistant issue.  Sometimes if i keep trying it eventually works but im not sure why it simply doesnt just add my image to my message??  I would upload screenshots but i keep getting the big X ^_^.

    This has happened to me before too... The way I always got it to work was to make sure I had the cursor where I needed it in the text, then I opened up the image box and put it in. Maybe it's something to do with your cursor?

    You've probably seen this in other threads, but have you tried just adding images to a an online album? It works 100% for me, and I use to have some problems back when I did it the way your describing. Also I think it saves a little memory on the site. (not sure on that one really)

    You have to open the fancy add pic box, select the pic you want, click back into your message and place the cursor in the right spot, then all you can click back in the picture loading screen is OK, then it should work. The nothing happening thing is a little irrataing.

    it simply just refreshes it self like it went thru ok but the image preview box goes back to the X and asks me to select the fookin image!! I think it has something to do with the image URL. Because from the NA folder the image URL is "?go=i&id=36049" when i click on the image in the folder.... Shouldnt it have the full link of the image? Very frustrating...

    HA... it works.. thanks MRN. You have to go BACK to your message and re-click it for the cursor. Wow im so happy. GG.

    Yep...it took me banging my head against the wall a few times to figure that one out. The best part is when it decides to insert the picture ABOVE the font selection window. What's up with that?

    Yeah, what MRN explained is what I was trying to say, but I typed it as I was walking out the door of the classroom and forgot a couple steps image

    Glad you got it to work. BTW, I think that only happens in IE- it hasn't happened once since I switched to Firefox.

    Yeah, I'm very tempted to remove the image subsystem entirely and just have people get photobucket accounts.

    Don't do that. Maybe make it so you can't add any more or something. If you remove it, it will delete all the old pictues that everyone ever posted using it. image

    I used to use my own photobucket account and once I realized how handy the built-in system was here, I left photobucket in the dust.

    What's Photobucket? NA's image subsystem is the only one I've ever used, please don't remove it Dain.

    I usually type the word 'picture' and highlight it, then go to add the image, that works like a charm.



    Lately I've struggled to upload more than 1 image at a time, I keep getting an unexpected error, same when I try to delete an album.
