Whats with Transformers

SO I saw the movie and really liked it.... My son is really in to it so I buy these transformers ($40.00 a piece!!!!) and I cant even get them to TRANSFORM!!!!
not like the old days I tell you.

    I was expecting some cool scenes of transformers fighting, and I got that, but I coudl have done without the whole romantic Michael Bay mass-appeal B.S. - but I guess without that angle to sell to the studios it would never have been made. Got to make it a date movie somehow to sell 2 tickets at a time.



    Afterwards I just went out and got the collector's edition dvd of the original and enjoyed that much more. image

    That's a good point -- with the popularity at the time of the NES and Transformers, you'd surely think there would have been a game.

    There was 2 Transformers on the fami if I am not mistaken. Pretty bad iirc, I played the roms ages ago.

    Yeah they had famicom games thats why I stressed USA. Was a TF game ever even planned for the NES ?

    There was a TERRIBLE 1986 Famicom Transformers game called Comvoy no Nazo (aka Convoy no Nazo, aka Konboi no Nazo). Comvoy/Convoy is apparently the name Japanese for Optimus Prime. More info on thewiki. I put it on a USA cart for a friend as a bday gift. We were laughing sooo hard about how bad it is, not quite Cheetahmen bad but pretty close. Bullets are almost invisible, its very easy to die. You can transform between robot and truck but it takes forever. Should be able to find the rom so you can enjoy this timeless classic!
