What music do you listen to?

I was just wondering what bands everyone listens to. At the moment I've been listening to Paramore, New Found Glory, You Me At Six and Bayside. All sweet bands!

  • I think MLN listens to Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, and Milli Vanilli
  • Been listening to Dead Kennedys, Stephen Lynch, Bad Brains and NOFX today.
  • MLN told me he listens to Nick Lachey.  That's it.
  • I'm not much for the music that has been coming out lately..

Lately, I've been listening to some old 3 6 Mafia, Guns N Roses, Poison, Metallica, and Soundgarden...

    I miss the late 80's early 90's rock/ metal...

I used to be the same way, when I was about 19-23 years old.  But, I was more into classic rock.  My favorite all time is Tom Pety, I've seen him 6 times.  To name a few shows(that I can actually remember:beerimage The Who, Kiss, Ted Nugent, Black Sabbath, Roger Waters, Metallica)  And I also went to Woodstock 99, that was a great time.
  • Let's see most recently listened to in the ol Ipod...

    |\| | |/|

    Evanescence

    Green Day

    Daughtry

    Pink Floyd

    Staind

    Pennywise

    Nickelback

...and John Farnham (this is a personal favorite... 2 best songs from the movie RAD which is one of my favorite movies).
  • But i really love ska-core bands like Leftover Crack

Haha I used to know those guys when they were Choking Victim. Crack Rocksteady is a classic.

hell yeah man...... RAD is the shit.... break the ice and thunder in your heart right? 2 awsome songs i have listened to them each like 1000 times..  and playing to win is good too (also by farnham)!
  • I love music, can't live without it.

If I had to choose between my music collection and my game collection, I would go for my music collection (or...? hmm...?), even though I spend most money on my game collection.

I prefer music from the late 60's and the 70's like The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk Railroad, King Crimson, Genesis, Gong, David Bowie, Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, Patti Smith, PinkFloyd and so on.

But there's som nice music from the 80's too, like Marillion, Prince, Violent Femmes, Pixies, Eurythmics, Roger Waters, etc.

From the 90's I would mention Grant Lee Buffalo and Mike & the Mechanics (that's all I could remember, lol).

And there are plenty of really good house music from the 90's (I hate techno though). Djs like Seb Fontaine, Tony de Vit, Peer, Pippi, Boy George, Graeme Park, John Digweed and many more really know how to spin those vinyls.

Music from the present? Ok, this is a bit embarrasing... I don't know much from todays music, but there are some Norwegian bands like Madrugada, My Midnight Creeps, Ricochets, Turboneger and Big Bang which are really great.

Other groups/artists that shoul be mentioned are The Cure, Morphine, Cypress Hill, Tower of Power, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen and Metallica (before the Justice for All album).

And everyone should listen to a band from Iceland called Sigur Rós and the album Ágatis Byrjun.

Man, I allmost cried the first time I listen to them, it's the most beautiful music I've ever heard!!

  • Nice Nes King... you got it man. I have been actively trying to buy the soundtrack for years... only recently found out that it was Vinyl only. But still would like to have it. I still have the original movie poster from dad's video store. I even have one of the red tshirts from the movie... Rad Racing Baby!!

When I wasn't able to get the soundtrack I made my own, searched the web and I have 5 songs off the soundtrack but yes Heart of Thunder and Break the Ice are the shiznit!!
