Sealed Mario Rpg

Well sort of sealed Mario RPG cart I picked up yesterday for $20; Any idea what this might be worth?

  • well that's interesting. Was probably a battery replacement at some point. I would venture that it's worth about what every other loose Mario RPG is worth unless someone thinks official nintendo repair stuff is cool.
  • Hmm... I'd have to say that it is at least worth something more than a typical loose cart I'd imagine. Even if only a couple bucks or so, there always seems to be someone in the world to pay extra for something unique.

Normally I'd value a cart at $35, maybe this one is $40?
  • very interesting find there. no idea on value though.
  • Very cool! It was either a battery or chip replacement. Very neat piece, I have a NES system sealed like that as well.
  • That got me wondering if Nintendo would replace a battery in a SNES game. It turns out they won't do it any more, so that may increase the value a little bit, since I could not just send my Super Mario RPG in and get the battery replaced to get one of those.
  • open it up and test it?
  • I'd probably keep it sealed, myself... Probably worth the same as, maybe slightly more than, a standard Mario RPG cart, as was previously mentioned ($30-$40), but there are a few die-hards here when it comes to Service Center stuff...
  • Ive already got a cart thats open that I could play on, so for now ill just leave it sealed image
