well that's interesting. Was probably a battery replacement at some point. I would venture that it's worth about what every other loose Mario RPG is worth unless someone thinks official nintendo repair stuff is cool.
Hmm... I'd have to say that it is at least worth something more than a typical loose cart I'd imagine. Even if only a couple bucks or so, there always seems to be someone in the world to pay extra for something unique.
Normally I'd value a cart at $35, maybe this one is $40?
That got me wondering if Nintendo would replace a battery in a SNES game. It turns out they won't do it any more, so that may increase the value a little bit, since I could not just send my Super Mario RPG in and get the battery replaced to get one of those.
I'd probably keep it sealed, myself... Probably worth the same as, maybe slightly more than, a standard Mario RPG cart, as was previously mentioned ($30-$40), but there are a few die-hards here when it comes to Service Center stuff...
