The Saturn, I think, was probably the 2nd-most underrated system of all time. If games like Shining Force III (which I have) and Panzer Dragoon Saga (which I sold a while back over eBay for big fast $$$) had been released in 1996, and if the Saturn wasn't still priced at $400 when the PlayStation came out, the 32-/64-bit era might've played out differently... Also, if you can, get an ST-Key or an Action Replay and pick up a few of the better Japanese imports (there's more than a few to choose from)...you won't be let down. I had a lot of fun playing one of the Japanese imports...Radiant Silvergun . Also, if you wanted to start collecting for the Saturn, there's only a few games (Iron Storm, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Shining Force III, House of the Dead, Bubble Bobble, Mega Man 8, Mega Man X4, Clockwork Knight 2, and a couple others) that go for $20+ complete, as opposed to probably 40-50 or more NES games that go that high or higher.
I love my Saturn, Nights into Dreams is also a great game that is a MUST for a Saturn owner, make sure to get one with the 3d Controller as it kicks ass. Also if you aRE A fps fan make sure to pick up Duke Nukem 3D for the Saturn, plays better than the PC version IMO and works great in conjunction with the 3D Controller.
I just got rid of my genesis collection and saturn , sega cd and dreamcast a while ago. The only game I kept was altered beast for the genesis..cant say i really miss the sega
