Best way to ship game boxes?

I've heard numerous ways but not really sure which is the best. I've heard a few like just shipping the box as is or flattening the box and shipping it that way. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • If its a mint box, I try to wrap in in bubble tape carefully and pack it with packing peanuts or something.

If the box isnt super mint to begin with I usually flatten it like you suggested and sandwich it between 2 thick pieces of cardboard. Usually flattening them will crease the bottom flaps on a box, but if its nothing special then its no big deal.
  • throw it in a VHS style case and throw it in a plain envelope ... good to go ... sure it runs you an extra $1 or so b/c it's heavier but that thing won't see damage
  • Priority large video mailer. Sturdy as hell, just the right size for a boxed game when you properly bubble-wrap it, and keeping it in the mail stream for the LEAST amount of time (2-3 days with priority) is key.

For double-protection, use the Small Video Mailer inside of the large one (I've done this for expensive games). A CIB with one sheet of bubble wrap will still fit inside the small video mailer.

AVOID the small flat rate box. It's flimsy and will crush with the slightest pressure, not to mention an avalanche of other parcels being thrown atop it in a mail bin.
