Myriad 6 in 1 complete in box

Hi am new to this forum....i have been reading here for awhile but decided to finally join because i just got so lucky in getting this game. I work at a video game store and it just so happens this dude brings all his son's old stuff to sell. mostly just your standard snes and nes classics, but nothing everyone doesnt have. But there was a good size box of stuff we couldnt even take because it wasnt in our system. He left the box their because in his eyes it was just junk. A little later when the store was cleared out of customers i went through it. To my amazement MYRIAD 6 in 1 was in their. The store manager let me keep the box of "junk"

I have the game totally complete

Box
Manual
Cartridge #000584
and Caltron black sleeve.

I have quite a bit of debt and as it pains me, must try to sell this game. How much do you think i would get for it?

  • probably 1k or more. great find. you'll want to post pics and such, but yeah, great debt paying off find lol.
  • yeah lol this one game is worth more than the amount ive made while working there lolol
  • the box sides are squished , but there are not any tears or writing on the box. Sleeve looks good. Cartridge has a little bubbling on the top of the label but mint condition other than that. Manual has a little dog ear in one corner, but in really good condition too.
  • oh yeah and it even has the original sytrofoam in it.
  • Definetly condition sensitive, but super rare, and valuable none the less. A matched serial number copy with the sleeve should easily bring in over $1,500.
  • yeah ill probably put it for a lot more and do best offers on it. The serial numbers do match. The box isnt mint because it was squished but not terrible since it seems the cart has been in it to not let the sides get really messed up.
  • Incredible find! I'd love to see some pics!
  • Amazing how rare stuff is just popping up out of nowhere. First all this SE stuff, and now someone stubles onto a complete Myriad. Nice find and good luck selling it image
  • I'd consider that a nice looking example, especially all matched up set like that. These are too few and far between for people to get TOO picky on condition. At auction it should easily bring $1,500+.

*Edit* Why is there tape on the back?  It's not holding on the top flap so what is it on there for?  Old tape on old boxes is not good.

  • Those pictures make me salivate...image
  • That is a good find. I got mine from a guy down the lived down the street from me complete for $10 but that was about 8 years ago. They didn't sell for much back then though. Cartridges sold on Ebay for around 75 and the complete one I bought with matching numbers only sold for $266 when I listed it on Ebay. You will definately get more than I did.
  • ^ That's likely because it wasn't on Etler's contemporaneous list, back then it looked like just another pirate image
  • Welcome to the site, and very nice find. I would expect this to go for around 1700, close to what Erik said at 1500. I think with the hype of SE, this is a great time to sell when people who don't collect are looking to snatch up this game (every "rarity" site mentions this as the second most valuable/rare game behind SE).
  • That's a pretty lucky find there; I never luck out like that. Some people have all the luck image
  • Man very, very nice find,i would imagine it would go for $1500+ aswell on an open auction.
  • These things ALWAYS turn up in Texas. As in I've literally never seen one found anywhere else. Damn proximity to the Mexican border...

The Myriads were assembled in Kingwood Texas (The hometown of Mark's ex-girlfriend).  That's why they're always found in Texas.

  • Great find man, congrats! Why cant I find a box with this junk in it:-)
  • Crazy find, man. Congrats.

I'd go with everybody else and guess that it would bring in in/around/above $1500.

According to the wiki page, the location is now a bakery lol!  If you don't score a Myriad, you can at least leave with a muffin.

I already knew this but thank you.
  • I believe the location (the address on the manual) is now considered part of Humble, TX. This is just outside Houstan.

NGD dug and dug and dug looking for info on these guys and i think we came to the conclusion that it was just a rebranding by NTDEC/MegaSoft/Caltron and not a new company.

Ah, I didn't know that.  Very cool info.  That would make sense as to why there is limited information regarding the Myriad company and it's near immediate bankruptcy.
  • we looked into state business records and found a company registered in the Houstan area that went defunct sometime in the early 90s registered as a MEGA SOFTWARE (IIRC)
  • nice find! let me know if you ever decide to sell just the cart! image
  • Sweet find. image
  • NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE! PLEASE sell these together! Its hard to find this game with matching numbers all around. I wouldn't take anything less than $2k if I were you image

Good luck buddy with the sale!!!
