so you wouldn't want someone here to stick up for you over their or on any other forum if a person you traded with scammed you out of $300 worth of your stuff and then posted it in another forums for sale area?
The only problem with what we're doing is we, in essense, are now paying for a scammer. I'm afraid this is going to just end any chance of Sjored getting what he should from the guy.
That being said, I've got about $6 and some change in paypal, I'll gladly chip it in, just PM me Dan's address. While I worry from the first standpoint (we're paying because dude's a scumbag), the fact that the community here is so willing to help out one of our own who got screwed is a real testament to the quality people on this site.

I mean it is a good idea in principle, I just don't think our members need to police other forums. If it were my scammed goods then I'd flame the thread myself.
I understand your POV though, you're international so this could have happened to you. I'd still do business with Caveman (actually talking to him about a PS1 game) cause I'm American and know I have nothing to worry about.

To follow up, caveman_games has been banned as of about 48 hours ago, when I started to take the collection.
I'm locking this one up as I consider it resolved, and I want to let this list last as a positive end to a truly unfortunate thread.
On a personal note, I ask myself sometimes why I still help out around here, after my collection was finished, I've written most of my ideas down and I've just plain run out of time. It's because of things like this, for people like Sjoerd, made possible by all of you who opened your wallets. Thank you.
