Poll of the Day (11/06/07)

I like to be done early, so I usually finish before December. I hate crowds, and usually do ALL my shopping online. I love it!

I'll be starting next week when my wife is away on business. That way I don't have to be as secretive!

  • It's too early for me to start shopping for Christmas..

My daughter's 1st birthday is December 1st, after that I might start Christmas shopping.....

  • Historically, I've done most of it on the last day. With a family now, I guess I'm going to have to change my ways!
  • im lucky i dont really buy presents for anyone accept my g/f... and i dont care about getting any ether.. dont get me wrong i like the holidays but just not big into present buying...

oh and i really celibrate festivus, kinda of hard to fit alot os presents around the aluminum pole..
  • I usually wait till mid December, but I will be strating this year before Thanksgiving.
  • I used to be a last minute guy, but man it always leads to some bad decisions when you're under pressure! Now it's painless, and I don't dare set foot in a mall in the month of December... you think I'm an angry driver... you just wait til you see me in a crowd of morons at the mall!
  • I usually start about the 2nd week of Dec. and try to get it done in about a week. May be a pretty cheap x-mas for me unless I hear back from the PO soon. I did get a call back from my old job yesterday, I told them I would take it for now. Not sure when I may start though image

  • Ive been christmas shopping since The 26th of december.....for myself that is.
  • with kids you got to play it out they will change there minds 50 times before Christmas. but if its a rare item you better get it now...mine are older so i wait til december to shop. Should be a good Christmas selling over ten thousand worth of timber this week.
  • I've got a niece who has a GB Advance so I usually pick up all kinds of clearance games and accessories throughout the year for her.  It always looks like I get her a ton of stuff and spent hundreds of dollars, but fact is, I've spent 10-25% of original cost.
  • I always, wait until, literally, Christmas Eve.  I hate buying prestents, and I actually don't like getting them either, it makes me feel uncomfortable.  So, I always put it off to the last minute.

ah man you dont like getting a big pack of socks or underware.
  • Batty I expect something nice this year, no more framed 8X10's of you humping snowmen making obscene hand gestures either!! And truthfully your wife sent me that picture so you owe me. And you better not get any ideas about sending me bacon you stole of a co-workers sandwhich either!
  • I kinda started this past Friday with an HD DVD player from Wal-Mart (plus the movie Blood Diamond) for my parents. Kinda thought I'd give them a bit of a nudge into the 21st century...sure, they have a ton of DVDs, but they have 3 tons of VHSes (many from the mid- and late-'80s) stacked in the bottom of their china cabinet-turned-entertainment center. The only sad part of it is that they don't have an HDTV :/ ...
  • If you count my getting presents for myself, then I've been working hard all year long!

As far as others, I've given it a token look but haven't gotten out to the shops just yet. I browse online to get an idea of what I'm going for and where to look but I usually go local for stuff.
