Mega Man bead art
I'm essentially resurrecting a thread from a few months back. I finally got some more dark blue beads that allowed me to finish Hard Man. I wanted to show off the ones I'd made a few months back but did not have access to a camera at the time. I finally took pictures of them and was wondering if anyone else had pictures of some that they've done. As you can see I've finished the bosses from 1-3 and have just started 4.

EDIT:
Just finished the Mega Man 4 bosses. What do you think?

Just ran out of black beads. Need to order some more. Here are 6 of the Mega Man 5 bosses along with Rush.

I just finished Mega Man 6. What a Pain. Also Proto Man and Dr. Light. To give you perspective on just how big the Mega Man 6 bosses were, Mega Man and the most of the bosses from Mega Man 1 and 2 are the size of Proto Man and Dr. Light.

Mega Man 9 bosses and Edgar Figaro. I'm very proud of the way Magma Man turned out especially.

What do you use for the paper between the iron and the beads? I used parchment paper and it works like 1000% better than waxed paper...and I haven't ever had to get a new piece. Doesn't stick at all. I don't think that it matters, but I melt mine a lot more than you do. Mine are flat and you can't see through them. Just the builder's style. I've been doing Zelda ones, but I'm not quite done yet.
I love the multi layered sprites that MM uses. That looks pretty cool. Good job.
jone, they range anywhere from about 4 inches (Mega Man, Wily) to a little over 7 inches (Hard Man).
Holy crap. You've been busy. That's awesome!

Post some pics. I'd love to see how they look fully melted.
Though I think the open "pixels" look great.
i have the original 6 bosses up at my work though. my brother has all of the other ones (MM bosses) up in his basement. i think they look awesome and a great set to do.
I've made a few perler sprites recently as well, if I remember I'll snap a picture this weekend for all to see.
I got mine from bluendash.com this past summer. Unfortunately they no longer sell any color other than black, white, and red in quantities larger than 1000. The best bargain is buying the large mix of colors, but the amount of time sorting them is not worth it.
Why would you want to buy less then 1000 anyway? They are only $2 or so per 1k, and less if you buy the 'buy 4 get 5 free' ones. I checked that site out, and for around $25 bucks you get close to 10k mixed beads + 4 large square boards. Are there better deals out there?
mega man has white around his eyes dosent he
I think he does. He was the first one I did, and when I was looking at his pixels, it looked like more of a lighter colored flesh color than white. I didn't have anything lighter than the normal flesh color (peach), so I just used peach.

It's not that you'd want to buy less than 1000, it's that you'd want to
buy in quantities of 2000 preferably. You'd be surprised how quickly
you can go through 1000 of a certain color.
