Is This The Top Loader Game Genie?

There have been several threads recently regarding the game genie adapter for the top loader NES.  Is this what was being talked about?  If so, what is this worth?  Did I get a good deal?

    Pretty sure that's just the normal game genie without handles. You can check the toploader Game Genie here in the database for comparison. image

    But this is for the top loader?  It's jsut not the adapter to make your regualr game genie work on the top loader.  This is the game genie made to work on the top loader.

    I'm pretty sure it's just a regular one with the handle ripped off, I come across them regularly. I'm pretty sure there's only an adaptor to make one work on the toploader, not an actual Game Genie made for it. Sorry man image

    Yeah, it's a normal Genie with the handles missing. I've actually seen quite a few of these in the last year or so and I did the same as you did and purchased one, only to find out it was bogus.

    How come there is no gold on it if its a regular one?

    Any chance its for a Genesis or some other system?

    There are 3 versions of game genies and one of them is black instead of gold. I agree with the other guys, this is a regular with the handles ripped off.

    The top loader game genie is black with a blue and red label if IIRC. This is most surely a regular game genie.

    Man, I was all excited.  Thanks to everyone for letting me know whats up.  I got the guy to refund me.

    I got ripped off by one of these before too. It was a black game genie without the handles with a gold game genie.
