Decent find at the Swap shop this weekend.

Went over to Fort Lauderdale this weekend and was able to visit the Swap Shop, a flea market with over 1500 vendors, tons of NES stuff but a lot of it beat to hell, except these, got all of this for $40, and yes they do work. Everything is up for sale except the controllers.

  • Nice pickup, PM sent
  • Hey Penguin, is the Swap Shop the one with the circus? I believe that is what they call it. Well it's a great place to find stuff if the local vendor has not yet bought everything.

Yea, no circus there anymore. I saw a ton of NES stuff, most were commons but it was good to see a lot more stuff than I am used to finding in the wild.
  • $40 is not too bad for the top loader. You can usually buy systems for $5-15 though. It just depends on who is selling it and how much they know about it's value.
The last time I went there was someone selling a CIB BB2 for $250. Obviously they knew the value of the game. The only thing that stopped me from buying it was that it was trashedimage

  • Was the person selling the BB2 inside the building or outside, most of the stuff I saw was all out by the garage sales. I only saw like one game shop inside and they diddn't have a whole lot.

Outside, near the parking lot. He also had lot's of good PSX titles but for high prices. I thought I was in for a steal but even the local vendors know to look on eBay. There was a boxed SNES (yellowed) inside for around $40 in the video game booth.
