I drove all the way to Gresham just now to pick up a lot of stuff off of Craigslist for $350. I had to stop in Vancouver first to meet with someone, and before I left I gave the Gresham guy a call just to be sure that he was going to be home, but there was no answer and I went anyways. Well I get to his apartment, and he didn't give me the apartment number, so I called him again and his phone was turned off. I sat there for about 45 minutes waiting for his call and trying the number again, but I finally just admitted defeat and drove off. I called once more when I had made it to downtown Portland, and it did one of those things when the ringer cuts off short because they pressed "ignore" on the phone call.
I am pretty heated right now. I've heard of Craigslist people doing this before, but it had never happened to me until today.
Damn that sucks dude, luckily (or unluckily?) I don't deal with Craigslist around here because we are so rural. Might see a NES toaster with a handful of games in the $50-$100 price range a few times a year and that's all.
I advise all NA'lers to stay away from ebay seller bvbborussiadortmund1988. He offered me cheaper shipping rates if I bought several items and then after winning 5 auctions, he declined his previous offer, making me pay the shipping cost as if every item will be sent alone.
EDIT: Sigh, he also turned Paypal payment down, even though it is listed in his payment options. Now, we settled for trackable shipment. I wonder how this will turn out...
Forget him and do not pay. Why paying shipping costs for each item individually? All it takes for the seller is to activate some button and BAM! He'll send them combined anyway. Also he broke his promise with cheaper shipping for more purchases so you might aswell point your index finger at him.
Bubble Bobble and Original Mario Brothers arcade machines for $180! I messaged her yesterday and said I could pick them up right away, but she messaged me back today and said the high offer was $500.
