I'm not sure if there is already a topic discussing this but I couldn't find it.
I have a CIB Kid Icarus (NTSC) and it's a non-hangtab version. There is a 5 screw cart in it though. I always thought that hangtab versions had the 5 screw carts and the non-hangtab 3 screw carts. Am I mistaken?
I have a Metroid also CIB and NTSC and it is also a non-hangtab and a 3 screw cart is in it. Also the seal of quality is oval and white. This is on the cart as well.
For my Kid Icarus the seal of quality is round and grey as is on the cart.
I'm confused now. Do I have the correct Kid Icarus cart for the box or not?
What are your thoughts on this?

    2) 5-screw for Kid Icarus goes in Hang-tab box.  You got different parts and pieces bro.

    3) I have 4 different Kid Icarus variants CIB and 6 different Metroid variants so there's lots of stuff that gets mixed and matched over the years.  image

    Thanks for the info! So I was correct about it being the wrong cart in the box. Not a big problem though Kid Icarus isn't that expensive.

    But I see, assuming you know all variants, that there is no Kid Icarus with a oval white seal of quality like Metroid.

    But damn your pics always make me drool. All those minty black boxes and silver boxes!! I'm happy that I have a complete black box and silver box collection myself!

    That's a great variant with the oval seal without white background. I can't recall having seen it printed that way anywhere else!

    Would be cool to do customized boxes for a "Classic Series" Kid Icarus with a new box/label/manual like Metroid got.



    Also, Erik, where is the oval seal Kid Icarus box?

    I don't have an oval seal Kid Icarus box, to my knowledge there is no such thing. I haven't even seen an oval seal cart Josh.

    I just checked all the ebay listings with Kid Icarus and not even a cart with an oval seal so I really don't think it exists. Maybe you had a Can or PAL copy somehow?

    ^ i will look through my old turbolister files when i get home. I should have every picture i've ever took in there - i am very likely totally wrong though.

    I was going to say the same thing! Seriously...what's up with this seal?! I've never seen a non-white oval seal before...

    I'm glad I could fire up a discussion about the seal of quality on the kid icarus box/cart. I did the same and checked all ebay listings. No oval seal came up.
