Aladdin Deck Enhancer

I'm not gonna buy one of these tomorrow or anything, but I'd like to find out what the current market value and rarity of this add-on is sitting at right now. How much would one expect to pay for one of these? I'm really only after the bare deck enhancer and the Dizzy pack-in game. I'd like to hope this combination would be extremely cheap, yes?

  • This is one of those things that varies a lot. One just sold on ebay for $61 sealed. I paid $26 for my sealed about 3 months ago. Hope that helps. They're pretty common now after some guy found a ton of them.
  • I sold one yesterday at an expo for 35. It's worth anywhere from 30-45ish, not usually more.

I paid $30 for mine and it's looks good in my collection.  Thanks superNESman!
  • i would sell one for $40 shipped if you want it... still sealed
  • Im pretty sure the whole set can be had for like $60 on ebay? At least thats what I thought...
  • I sold a whole set (factory-sealed and all of them except Micro Machines were dead mint) for $70. I'd say a loose deck enhancer and loose Dizzy cart should be nearer to $25-$30. And yes, they are quite common...don't be fooled by their lack of frequency at eBay or other auction sites. They were considered very rare, up until about 6-8 years or so ago, when someone found a warehouse filled with the equivalent of a few truckloads of these (several thousand sets, if I recall correctly).
  • I got mine for like $30 will every game for it a few years ago. They're really not worth a shitton.
  • A guy unearthed numerous pallets of this stuff a few years back. I don't know what the going rate is now, but as recently as a year, or two, ago, you could get the entire set (minus Micro Machines) for $50-$60 sealed.
  • I haven't followed this in awhile, but around August / September last year, the only ones appearing on eBay were in the $125-$150 range for a set (all sealed, all games included).

Got $110 on here for mine. Even though it sold for that much, I'd still say that a complete set is only in the $70-$80 range IMO.

If that includes Micro Machines, it's not a horrific overvaluation, I don't think.

Without Micro Machines that's easily twice what they're really worth.

I think these things are fairly volatile in terms of what new blood is willing to pay for them, since new people streaming into the hobby have never seen them before and get them impression that they're really rare, or worth having.

Fact of the matter, is that they're pretty much garbage, and while a few of the games are reasonably fun, the lockout-defeat on them is ultimately going to kill your system.

There is a user on eBay that has been selling the complete sealed sets for a couple years now for $95.
Pretty poorly listed though. No mention of Aladdin or Deck Enhancer in the title.
If you do a search for "NES 7 Video Games for Nintendo Entertainment System" you should see them.
  • I got mine factory sealed with all the games (damaged MicroMachines) for 45 bucks.
  • Whats the deal with Micro Machines? Is that the 'rare' one out of the bunch?
  • I'm guessing the recent palette was missing Micro Machines from the set?

    I wouldn't be surprised.

I haven't been following him, but I wonder when he raised his prices.
I'm pretty sure that's the guy that used to sell them for $60 per set.
