Comments

  • Its there. Just scroll over and look at everything on that page.
  • Or use Safari. I couldn't get past the first page in either Internet Explorer or Firefox, but it scrolled fine in Safari.

Didn't try Google Chrome either, but that may work.  What browser are you using?

  • i just bought a brand new computer so im using the latest ie.
  • IE 8? IE 7 didn't work for me (and sounds like IE8 doesn't work for you). Safari's a free download though.
  • I used Chrome
  • oh well all the others downloaded for me
  • They used a new type of font, apparently. Safari (and Chrome, according to Bella) come with the proper font plug-ins.

I'm personally not a fan of it, as it gave me a headache after a couple pages.
  • Thanks for the info, I totally missed it image
  • At first I was: image
    Then I was: image

I also missed the bottom of the page at first. Thanks for the info, Bella!
  • Actually, that guide about hint books couldn't have come at a better time. I've all of a sudden snagged two more - Maniac Mansion (via trade, w/homemade decoder), and Might & Magic (via NA auction...surprised it only cost $32 image ). Add to that Ninja Gaiden II, Wizardry II, Ultima: Exodus, and Shadowgate, as well as the NP 4-Player Extra (should've been mentioned as a "borderline guide" Dain, it covers multiple games, not very in depth, but I think it counts as far as NP guides should). That's not to mention all my Japanese Wizardry guides image

I have to disagree. The only exception I made in this category was for the Castlevania guide. The 4-player extra isn't an in-depth guide about the 4-player games, it's a quick glance at games that have the 4-player feature.

  • am i missing something. i don't see any articles. call me d-u-m dumb, because the joke must be on me.
  • wow. my trust was exploited. good job.
  • This e-zine finally answered a question I've had for about a year but always forgot to ask. I now know that the Fester's Quest hint book I got in a lot a year back IS actually worth something. Cool.
  • ^yeah, consider yourself fortunate, it's a good one to have out of the way!
  • I cant download it dammit.

What browser are you using?  There's some font incapatibilities this month (thanks a lot, Alex....), but I was able to finally see it in Safari, and Bella and others can see it with Google Chrome.
  • Im pretty sure this is some kind of inside joke lol. well, im not falling for it! lol

How do you have font incompatibilities with a pdf file?  You download it, and open it in Adobe Reader...
  • ^^ pdfs can be made either to use the system's fonts or to embed the fonts as part of the pdf.

Which font is this?  It might be an issue of what font is displaying on different peoples' systems.  If you could, post a screenshot of the font you're having trouble with.

edit:  or, you could also copy and paste the font into word and it will tell you the name of the font, whichever is easier.
  • Link on the frontpage fixed for posterity.

I wrote that when I thought all that was to the e-zine was the April Fool's page to mess with people.  Completely made up the formatting thing (and the Safari thing, but apparently that really worked?).   Didn't want you trying to fix something that isn't broken..... image

  • Ah. Okay image Just wanted to make sure I wasn't giving people headaches image
  • Nope!

Now that I've read the real one, you've done quite the nice job!
  • i finally got to read this. GREAT JOB
