Gameboy Advance SP Store Display

This wasn't meant to be a FS thread but I have received a number of PM's about it.  This unit is currently Pending Payment.

Hey... I picked this up in a trade.  It came in the mail today.  I don't really want/need it as I realized I really have no place I could hang it.  There is a guy on another forum who is interested in it but I have no idea what it might be worth as the items I traded didn't hold a lot of worth to me.  The GBA SP looks and works great.  I believe the sign is supposed to light up also as it is labled as a 12V Cold Cathode Sign on the back.  In addition to the cord that is plugged in that powers the GBA SP system there is another plug below it that I may have an appropriate connector for... just have to check.  I think that one would light up the sign.  It's a wall-mount unit as it has bolts in the back with wingnuts and it swivels.  It currently has the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team Demo cart installed.  The only real issue that I could tell right off hand is that the bottom of the case is cracked a bit although I didn't even notice it at first.  So, thoughts?  My instinct says $100 + shipping as I have sold a couple other display units recently and both have gone for that same price... just seems like a good base price.

  • Hell yeah... found a couple cords downstairs.  One is 10V.  One is 12V.  The 12V cord didn't have a big enough plug.  The 10V was big enough but I questioned whether it would provide enough juice to power the light up... it was and it's beautiful.  The only problem is I may need to find another cord as I think this is the cord my wife was missing to the electric keyboard she wanted to sell... hmmmmm

(edit) Just figured out that an original NES power cord works also.  The light isn't quite as bright as it's only supplying 9V but it does work.  A good alternative until a suitable 12V cord is found
