I don't need any confirmation. Like I said, it's not like there's prizes or anything. Pretty much just a fun way to get people playing through their games image Not sure what would constitute the end of Ice Climber though, and I don't feel like researching. Is there a point where the levels loop or is it strictly high score? Pretty much just need to know at what point the game repeats (ie Mario Bros repeats after level 12, DK repeats after level 3).

Cool image Game loops after level 32.  I beat the first loop.  I don't remember what my high score was; I'm sure it wasn't impressive anyway.
  • I beat Hydlide this morning (and still feel the game isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be): Picture 151

Edit: Mystery Quest needs to be beaten 4 times in a row for the good ending.

  • "Tiny Toon Adventures 2 - Trouble In Wackyland" beaten.

I did not play through all levels tough, Rollercoaster ride and Log Race are incredibly difficult.
  • Johnny - Good to know. Hate not knowing what I need to do to "beat" games image

Cecil - I agree, Hydlide is kind of fun if you give it a chance. It's just a pain in the arse to figure out what to do image

Palcom - Getting the ending is what matters, not beating every level. That's like saying beating SMB doesn't count if you use a warp zone. I'm marking it as done image

This list is really motivating me. Rollergames is done. Boy I can't recall how many times I had to continue in Stage 5 and 6.

I think that's the game I played. The characters are a good size.

Also do I have to beat Kickmaster twice? I believe it has a 2nd harder difficulty after the first quest. Might do this game next.
  • If it's a second quest with no difference other than difficulty, then no, only once is fine. If it's a second quest with a new ending, you gotta do both.
  • I have grown tired of losing to the 7th fighter at Karate Champ and took a break today.

So I took on Rambo to relax. Fun silly game that I managed to beat in two hours after getting lost many times! image

    Mark it down, please. image
  • 2 HOURS??? Damn, I spent a good 6 on it last time I played and only got half way through. You good Bea!
  • 6 hours? o_o

That game isn't too long! Sure, you can get lost here and there, but still.
  • I'm not exactly the greatest gamer at that sort of game to be honest. Also, my sense of time passing is a bit off, it very well could've been an hour, or half an hour, or 16 hours for all I know image
  • what are the rules for beating duck hunt
  • Loop the game. On One Duck, get to the killscreen, on Two Duck and Clay Shooting just loop it once.
  • Is there a rule for how far the zapper has to be from the tv?
  • No, as long as there's no firing at the wall image Can't really prove it anyway, and it's totally just for fun. That said, I think it works better if you sit back a bit anyway.
  • duck hunt 1 duck round 0

  • Finally beat Twin Eagle. Dieing in the later levels makes the game near impossible to beat, and I died a lot...
  • Finally beat Star Trek: the Next Generation. Such a fun game. Now on to something else.
  • Man, I love seeing so many people playing their NES games.

I love how people are trying new games just to knock them off the list.  Nice to see people trying (and hopefully loving) games they never would've got around to trying.
  • I've gotta admit, I have a new found love for Godzilla thanks to running through it properly for this list. This challenge really is getting me to take a second look at some games, so thank you guys for that.

I think I'm going to bust out the power pad and see what I can do on World Class Track Meet and Super Team Games next.
  • Wicked! We need some people playing Power Pad games image I don't have much info on most of them though, so let me know if any of them should be considered unbeatable for whatever reason image
  • According to AdamL, Stadium Events is beaten when you take out both tournament and Olympic events. Super Team Games only has cpu opponents for single events, so taking on the hardest kid in each should suffice.
  • Well, since Stadium Events and WCTM are the same game (play allowed for either, just listing the one, hence why WCTM is red...SE came first image ), and you know Super Team Games, we'll go with what you said image
  • I ran through Skate or Die. Didn't see anything on AdamL about it, so I'm guessing just running through everything and not getting beat by a computer is sufficient?
  • Sounds good to me. Don't think there's a definitive end, so that sounds about right.
  • Over the last 3 days:

    Contra Force

    Felix

    Flintstones

    Gargoyle's Quest II

    Monopoly

    Stinger

    Tennis

Had 3 days off work and I hit the NES! All games I had finished before except the Flintstones. I'll have to start trying some games I've never played before...
  • Beat Vice: Project Doom and Karnov (Which kept freezing in my frontloader, so I had to go to the toploader...)
