PC-10 w/ 9 Games

There's a guy locally selling a Play Choice 10 with games for $700.  Says it's in great shape with these games:

TROJAN
BASEBALL
RUGAR
GOLF
DOUBLE DRIBBLE
GRADIUS
PRO WWF
RAD RACER
METROID!

Is this a good deal?  I was thinking of possibly buying it and selling the games to try to get a reasonably priced PC-10, but I don't know anything about it.

How much do these games go for?

Thanks

Brian

  • Maybe $300-$350 for just the games. Metroid is pretty tough and gradius doesn't always turn up. single of dual monitor?
  • $700 is overpriced IMO. However if it's a dual monitor and it's in great shape it's not Horrible. Based on those games and assuming no marquee toppers or anything additional I'd say it's worth like $550. I'd be interested in Metroid, it's the only one in there I don't have. I've seen it sell in the past 3 months multiple times between KLOV and eBay in the $40-75 range.

Thinking about this some more from the game list I will assume this is a single monitor CAB since there are no gun games at all.  So in that case I'd say $450-550.

  • Thanks for the input everyone, it looks like it's a dual monitor.

I'll have to ask him if anything additional comes with it.  More than likely I'd be selling all the games, but I may keep Metroid.  It all depends on how low I can talk him down.

How much does a dual monitor system run by itself?

I'm completely clueless on PC-10 and one surprisingly popped up in my area, always thought it'd be cool to have.

    Thanks

  • Huh... that's a dual alright but it doesn't have a gun or holster. You can buy those on eBay or Klov to add to it. I'd try to get it for $500 assuming it all works good, he's got the two coin door keys, and the keys to the back panel.

As far as the games go:

    TROJAN: $20-40

    BASEBALL: $20

    RYGAR: $35-45

    GOLF: $20

    DOUBLE DRIBBLE: $25-35

GRADIUS: $30-40 Haven't seen one of these up for auction lately though.

    PRO Wrestling: $20

    RAD RACER: $20-30

    METROID: $40-75

    Hope that helps.

  • yeah, I would say $500 is fair.
  • How far are you from St. Louis. They have arcade auctions there about 3 times a year. You might be able to find one there if you are patient. The nice thing about this is it is local so you are paying for the convience and the short drive.

That one looks like it is in good shape too. Try to get him to go $400.....

  • Thanks everyone for the input, I'll try to get some more info from him.
  • $700 = way too high. $400... $500 if you really want it.
