I'm not a huge fan of forums that have too many categories. It tends to create orphaned areas that collect dust.
This. If VB had it's own section, I bet it would average 2 posts a year. The forum's current state is good enough for me. If any new category is added, I wouldn't mind "hardware" with the idea/notion of modification of, well, hardware. But most of these questions seem to get addressed in the Help me! section or other subfora, so it seems almost redundant in not-so-expert opinion.

I'd say the same thing except that "latest posts" doesn't have multiple pages. That always kinda annoyed me.
