My best Goodwill find yet!

I bought Batman Akkham Asylum  two days ago so I went back to buy another PC game. Went to the counter to ask for help and waited by the game section, while I was waiting I spotted some Nintendo games and a console. I saw they had SMB/DH for 15 so I was thinking when the help came I'd tell them how much its really worth if they want to get it sold. I finally got help and i looked at the games and everything was $15. I said "I just wanna see how much the console is because everything is over priced". I look at the sticker and it said $15. I quickly said "I'll take it". I went to the register and some worker walked up and said "Is that the Nintendo". I said yes and he said that the games came with the console. He walked over and brought me SMB/DH, SM2, SM3, and Street Fight 2010. What we all didn't know was that Zelda II was inside the console.

  • In my experience, games are usually tagged individually at $3.99 here, so if I saw that I'd be wondering why they were tagged at $15. Good thing you picked up the system image
  • Seriously. They never have any nintendo items. I've been going since april and only found three sega games and the pc game I bought a couple of days ago.
  • I've never had much luck at thrift stores or the goodwill. That batch of games is really similar to a swap meet find I got several years ago when I started out. Mine cost like $20.00 and had hockey and tiger heli with some marios and Zelda. Good find for the cash.
  • Goodwill at my place:

    Nes system only $9.99

    AC Adapter $4.99

    RF switch $3.99

    Controller $3.99

    Controller $3.99

    zapper $3.99

    NES advantage $4.99

    games $4.99 ea

Add that all up and it's really not that great of a deal

  • nice, I'm still trying to find something at my goodwill
  • i cant even remember the last thing i found at a goodwill it has been a lil while, then again im dead freakin broke!
  • Its always sweet when you find a cart inside the toaster, I have had that happen to me a few times.
  • Nice find with the toaster.
  • Nice, the only way you'll get a descent deal at Goodwill with systems if they sell it all together. Most times they split it all up. Last week I found a nice PS2 lot, but it was all individually priced. System, controllers, A/V cords, AC Cord, Games, I figured it up to cost over $100 just to buy it all.
  • Id came with everything except the controller, which I have two of. I'm going back today just in case they had something in the back waiting to be put out when the nes got sold. It was so cool because everybody there said it barely got there that day.
  • Had a run in last week at the goodwill, system 4.99, controllers .99 cents each. No hookups. Whatever.
  • i got a gameboy color at goowill for lik $3 the other day. I needed one to test GB games after I change batteries so it was worth it for that otherwise even at that price I would have passed lol.
