Game Crazy Stores Closing, Prices Slashed!

So Game Crazy is going out of business, and I hit up their last remaining Seattle store. I got some decent deals:

R.A.D. Robot Alchemic Drive (PS2) $3 disc only - This is on my list of PS2 hidden gems to pick. It's by Enix, so it's probably good.

Under the Skin (PS2) $3 Complete - It's a Capcom game I've never heard of, and it looks silly as hell.

Dynasty Warriors 3 (PS2) $3 Complete - I just picked up DW2 last week, but I've heard that 3 is the best one.

Resident Evil Code Veronica X (PS2) $5 Complete - Pretty solid game.

Amplitude (PS2) $3 Complete - It's a decent game, worth a little bit of money.

Street Fighter IV Collector's Edition (360) $48 New - In hindsight, this was actually kind of a bad purchase. I already have Super SFIV, and the extras in this package probably aren't worth $40. Total impulse buy; I was wowed by the big box.

All in all, not bad. I just wish I hadn't bought the collector's edition. I encourage you guys to check out any Game Crazy stores that may still be open next to you, because the used PS2 stuff is suuuuuper cheap, and if you happen to need any new games, they're 25% off too.

  • R.A.D. is a killer game. The news isn't exactly too thrilling to me because most of the PS2 games I want I've gotten in the last several years. Then again, there are probably some hidden gems or obscure RPGs I could snag now. Good post thanks for the info dude.
  • I just bought excitebots new for $22ish bucks. not a bad price on a discontinued game. I am going to go crazy on gamecrazy once they slash em to 50%.
  • All the ones in Cali around me have been gone for at least 6 months to a year

  • I think Game Crazy is under the Hollywood Video banner with Movie Gallery. They had a 10 for 10 on everything but next gen. Scored a bunch of games for $1 can't beat that. Not bad scores except the SFIV.
  • Amplitude's worth some money? I got my copy complete from Gamestop a few months ago for $5. Great game from a great developer. What's it worth, $15 or so?

Yeah, 15 is about right. Not a mint, but enough to pick up for a few bucks.

I still dunno why I bought that SFIV CE. I guess I'll now be able to jam the soundtrack in my car, especially the RAD intro song!

  • We have been out of game crazy stores for a while. I only know of 2 Movie Gallery stores within a hundred mile radius. All Hollywood videos are gone here.
