Comments

  • well great tom and jerry and the empire strikes back don't work.....good thing buy backs has a 7 day return policy....the rest work fine
  • Just give their pins a good clean and they should work fine. I've never had a game that simply wouldn't work, some may take a few cleanings, but they will work. I would say 95% of the time after cleaning them they'll be fine.
  • Where did you pick these up from?
  • i bought them at a store called buybacks...prices warn't to bad all under 5...a few games where to much though...the megaman for 51.00 and a super metroid for 23.00....they had mass stuff though....seen a yoshie game for the nes i might get when i return the tom and jerry

no it looks like the tom and jerry was almost takin apart...i shoulda looked better...i'll trade it in for something else tomorrow...starwars looks good though i'll try it a few more times but they had another copy there so no biggy even trade
  • super metroid for 23 actually isnt that bad. Its a 20 plus shipping ebay game..
  • Be careful with Buybacks, as seen in this thread: http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?StartRow=1&catid=5&threadid=29849

Sometimes their prices are great, sometimes they're just retarded. And to the OP, since you live in Cincinnati, which Buybacks did you go to? The one on Colerain?
  • my local Buybacks is terribad. Pricing is good on alot of stuff, others have the crazy prices mentioned in the other thread. Mine just never has anything retro good.

Yeah its very rare a good cleaning doesnt solve the problem

ive only had a small hand full of games that didnt work in 9 years .

  • I would just clean it, I have had thousands of cartridge based games pass through with only 5 or 6 I couldn't get going
  • I had my first non working NES this week, Gumshoe. The plastic was all yellow and the contacts mostly down to the silvery metal. I tried a long time cleaning it, but each time it would just return a purple screen.
  • ive only ever had 1 game that i could never get working....blades of steel, i cleaned it over and over and tried it in a few toasters, a toploader and a clone console but it was dead - i still have it, cant bring myself to throwing it out image
  • Nice finds!
