MB's NA Live Chat Auctions! One auction to end them all.

Since I don't have a lot of time with which to do these, and since the original would-be buyer of this round's single item is putting real-life priorities in front (and again, I say congratulations on the new baby image ), I'm going to do something a bit radical this go-round.  One item, live auction.  See the item list (and the added rules) for details.

A link to NA Chat:  http://chat.nintendoage.com .

The rules, with a few changes to reflect the value of the item to be auctioned (v1.3):

1.
Pictures and descriptions, including starting bids, of all items to
be auctioned will be posted herein.

2.  Starting bids for all
auctions will vary per item, but all will include shipping to the US and

Canada (with a small bit extra to be charged if the winner should be
located overseas).  Insurance is encouraged on all large-value items, and it can be added within the US at actual cost.

3.  Bid increments must be no less than one US
dollar ($1).

4.  All bids must be posted publicly in chat,
either with or without the dollar sign ($).  No PM bids or private chat
bids will be allowed.  Illogical bids,
such as "eleventy billion dollars" or similar nonsense, will not be
accepted.

5.  Bidding will end upon completion of a
"going once, going twice, SOLD!", as in a real live auction, except as
noted in Rule 5-1.

5-1.  If three
bids are made during the last
call and countdown, the ending will be abbreviated to a count of five
(5), to last approximately five (5) to eight (8) seconds, during which
to place a bid.  This count will reset
with each bid.

6.
Payment, or the intent and arrangements thereof, must be made within 72
hours of the auction ending, and can be executed with either PayPal or
money order payable in US dollars.

7.  Upon completion of the
auction, a record of all winning bidders and their bids will be posted
herein, and the list will be posted at
the top of the list of auction items.

8.  Items to be
auctioned which have reserve
amounts will be noted as such; however, said items will not have reserve
amounts disclosed until bidding is within ten US dollars ($10) of the
reserve.

9.  No further items
will have a Buy-Me-Out option.

10.  Your chat username must match your
regular NA username (or be *very* similar).  For members of other sites, please put your regular username at that other site, followed by the appropriate code thus:

GS = GameSniped
DP = Digital Press
GTZ = GameTZ
AA = AtariAge
PSC = PlayStation Collecting

11.  For large-value items or purchases (over $500), I do accept payment plans; however, **I will not ship until payment is completed in full**.  Feedback counts will affect my flexibility with payment plans, but it will be broken down as such:

Less than 10 feedback - must pay in full within 15 days (for this round, July 15th would be the deadline here).
10 to 29 feedback - 3 payments - must be paid in full in 45 days (deadline:  August 14th).
30 to 49 feedback - 4 payments - must be paid in full in 45 days (deadline:  August 14th).
50 to 74 feedback - 5 payments - must be paid in full in 60 days (deadline:  August 29th).
75 to 99 feedback - 6 payments - must be paid in full in 60 days (deadline:  August 29th).
100 to 149 feedback - 6 payments - must be paid in full in 90 days (deadline:  September 28th).
150 feedback or a well-respected member of the video game collecting community - 8 payments - must be paid in full in 90 days (deadline:  September 28th).

Not from NA or DP?  I will investigate your case individually.

12.  Have fun,
and enjoy the 6th NA Live Chat Auction!

This Week's Listing:

#0059 - Stadium Events NTSC cart only - Winning Bid:  $2202 - Winning Bidder:  divingninja

SE 1

SE 2

Cart is in amazing shape.  Probably the mintiest cart I ever owned...literally ever!  You can even see the reflection generated by the label in the 2nd pic.  I think it goes without saying, but this would be the centerpiece of most people's collections.

    This should be lots of fun to watch.
  • wouldn't this cripple the chat room?
  • Why not just have the opening bid be 1601 rather than have a reserve?
  • Why does this have to be on the night when I'm moving? ;_;
  • So not hitting the reserve.
  • god damn port everytime i see your avatar i watch it for way to long
  • You and me both.

    Me too! I usually catch myself zoning out to it for at least a few loops through every time i see it.
  • Edited the original post. Reason: I said I wanted to sell the bulk of my NES collection. So I ditched the reserve, which I thought was a bit optimistic anyway, and went with a more reasonable figure for a starting bid.
  • Thanks son...look what you made me miss out on!
  • Believe me, Dan...I'm not a father myself, but I can tell you...your son >>>> SE. Of course, you can still bid, if you like, but I know you have bigger priorities right now image .
  • Just a quick bump... This starts in about 40 minutes.
  • Damn it. I'm on the road, and my phone doesn't allow chat : /
  • Very fun, contrats to all involved. Hopefully all will be happy, I know Matt is image

  • Thanks Guys! I was happy to meet a lot of you and cant believe I got stadium events before I got a lot of the more common ones I am missing like Yoshi and WURM and Where's Waldo etc.
  • lol omg. Good for you mb!
  • Damn, it takes balls to sell you SE. But I am sure that $2200 makes it feel a little better...congrats on both sides...
  • Not even sure what else to say.. other than Wow!
  • I don't understand how this auction worked. I feel the seller could have gotten more...
  • Possibly, but it's already way past NA price guide, which makes sense, because it's minty
