One of my favorite NES merch items just arrived today!!! :D

So most know my favorite thing to collect is actually not the games, but the merchandise / history of the NES era itself. I personally enjoy the advertising, artwork, as well as the overall 80's retro-ness of the merchandise.

I've had a lot of help from NA members in getting collection items, and Laurie really helped me with this one!!!

While cruising used ottowa, he managed to find these zelda shoes for me for a whopping $26! image They do glow in the dark, and I would have to say, the box is by far the coolest part!

Anyways, we worked out a trade, and they finally came in. Posted are the pictures Laurie took for me upon receiving the item, so I will post these for you all to see.

I cannot find any information on the shoes, minus the fact they were manufactured by a company located in new york city, NY.

One thing I did want to note, is the tongue is marked with "Nintendo Power" as the bottom of the shoe advertises the power pad. Its also funny how they are supposed to be zelda shoes, but are adorned with mario icons on them image

On with the pictures. Some in chat have already seen the pictures of the shoes before arrival. Still wanted to share with the site image

yea man, I guess a lot of people dont. I mostly collect from the years 1988-1992, and only NTSC merchandise also.

All the merch i collect must be new, or CIB. image

I think they tried to roll all three of them into one product.
