every nes manual

what does everyone think the value for an entire set of nes manuals should be.

not including stadium events, pannesians and myraid..

  • Hmm, my very rough guess is $2000ish. ($2 times 700 + $600 or so to account for rarer ones.) Other people probably can make better guesses, though.
  • i was kinda thinking $3000ish just wanted to see if thats were everyone eles was on this..
  • Prob more than that to be honest. You have to consider getting that many at once as well, and that is worth a large amount I would think. Tracking down manuals and boxes is a bitch.

  • Yeah but when buying stuff in big lots like that the total price goes down from what the sum of the value would be. How many people would be willing to buy all of them at once? Obviously some people would, but not very many.
  • true....but the ones that would are the ones that have the bigger bucks..... I enjoy the hunt to much to ever buy in a bulk lot myself.

  • Good points all... I would also think there could be interest for something like this from someone who has a cart only collection that is almost complete or close. They might be intimidated by the task of getting all the boxes/books but if they could knock off all the books at once it might be worth it. Also if they are getting frustrated trying to get the last couple carts it's possible something like this would fill that void temporarily.
  • Or somebody like me who is missing only 100 boxes and needs just about every manual there is. (I think I need like 600 or something stupid like that).
  • Hm...let me think a minute here... No SE, no Myriad, no Panesians...Caltron manual, about $120-$150, F2 manual, about $130-$170, BB2 manual, about $60-$75, about 15 more manuals in the $20-$60 range, about 40-50 manuals in the $10-$20 range, and most of the rest in the $1-$4 range...I'd say a good $2500-$3000, possibly more depending on who's interested...

Edit: As for me, I probably would be interested in such a lot, as I still need around 500 manuals, but my current finances would prohibit me purchasing said lot.
  • just about what i thought everyone would say. thx for the imput.
  • I think a lot like this would actually go higher than individually. Resellers would be drooling over an auction like this.
  • i would think if they were all good condition with out marker and stickers could be worth up to $4000...
  • If you're thinking of every nes manual there is there would be an infinate amount of money involved since there would me millions.. If we even only count single NES manual per release it would be 1000's. If we only count one manual per game not counting re-releases and such it would defenitly be higher since lots of Pal exclusives like Rodland and Gimmick fetch large amounts.
  • Yeah, good point, Widar...I think most of us that tossed out estimates assumed just NTSC...
  • yes i just ment ntsc 1 manual per title...

variations to or just i manual per game lol
  • you must not have seen the post above yours. im figureing out now that it is very tough to get a complete set. lol.. but i allready knew that.
  • nes_king, I'm curious to see if you've sold this yet? I'm interested to know what you got for it. I think $2-3k is pretty fair, but at the same time I don't think most people would be willing to part with that much cash, which might force you into breaking it up or lowering the price.
  • i think there would be several buyers for a lot of ntsc manuals (minus the SE, panesians, and myriad). right now, i need less than 70 different manuals to complete the set. i have the SE manual, but i dont have any of the panesians (sheets of paper), caltron, or myriad. i also dont have F2, so i am missing some very expensive items!!!
