but after that I played Gremlins 2 and beat it! Holy crap, that game is so hard. It's legendary. I started from where I left off last time I played. (Level 4-1) Awesome game.
The levels weren't too bad for me, it's just the boss fight with the main bad guy (with the machine gun) that's a real beast.

Yeah, the last level was insane though. BTW it's a PAL B copy.
@bimmy_lee: Did you get the extra little bonus on the ending for getting enough treasure? I think it's $10,000,000 that you need, but I could be wrong... haven't done it myself.

Nope, I didn't know there was a bonus ending to the game. I only ended up with like $8,000,000 by the time I beat it. I took the quickest routes to the bosses because I wanted to beat the game. Next time I play through, I'll try to make sure I collect $10,000,000 to see if a bonus ending appears.
I beat Pinbot this afternoon for the first time. All you have to do is beat the top score of 9,983,270 and you get to see the game credits. My final score was 15,370,570.
EDIT: Added pics
Entering my initials for the high score screen
My initials on he high score screen. It didn't turn out too well, so I took another one.
Better pic of my initials on a different high score screen
Between me and my bro, we beat Duck Tales, Fester's Quest, and Metalstorm. Next up is Blaster Master
All good games, solid choices. Fester's Quest gets a lot of hate, but I've always enjoyed it. You'll definitely see some crossover in the gameplay once you get to Blaster Master (the hardest of the four in my opinion unless of course we're talking Metal Storm on hard mode).
Well, I've neglected this thread for some time because, well, most of the games I've beaten have gone on the "Beaten in 2010" list, but I just beat 3 games this evening - Guerilla War (co-op with Dr. Morbis), Abadox, and Deja Vu, all of which have already been taken off the 2010 list. Seeing as they were all new dates for the list I started in '06, and Abadox was a first time completion (not to mention the first shmup I've ever actually beat), I felt it was worth a post

Solid work, Deja Vu is a great game. If you haven't played them you should definitely check out Shadowgate and Uninvited.

Was finally able to cross this one off my list. Its been a long time coming.
Fantastic work on Battletoads. I know how good it feels to cross that one off the list.
I've beat them both Maydogg, but only Uninvited has been knocked off my personal list (only count games I have dates on, and I started my list in '06), so I still need to run through Shadowgate in order to scratch them all off. Not sure if I'm doing that this year though, I mean there was a 4 year gap between playing through Uninvited and playing through Deja Vu...just gotta be in the mood for it
I use to think people that thought this game was easier than Contra were smoking something...
But after playing through the entire game I would say that
Level 4 of Super C is the hardest level to figure out between the both games, IMO, allthough, once you have it figured out it's cake like all the others,
Level 1 in Super C is much tougher than Level 1 in Contra, Hell, I still fire it up and will loose a life on level 1, due to the randomness of those green guys, but I could blindfold myself and prolly make it through contra level 1
But overall Super C is still easier because Level 2, 5, and 7 and the final Boss are complete Push-overs
Beat Super Mario Bros, played it because today I just found out that my favorite Famiclone has built in games on it! When you turn it on without a game in it, it goes to a 10000000-in-1 menu (4 games repeated). Super Mario Bros had the title screen, and ending music hacked.

Took down Peter Pan and the Pirates tonight. If only it were more fun playing Peter Pan....
Today I beat 3 of the games I got on my trip:
Shadow of the Ninja
Kabuki Quantum Fighter (no-death)
Contra (no-death)
High five on shadow of the ninja, my friend Dan and I took it down after 5 attempts one night.

Nice, it is a kick ass game. Also happy birthday.

Spam-raping Death with Holy Water was so satisfying. Take that for 7 years of pain.
