Are these games a good deal?

"mega man 2,3,4 = $12 each

Mario = $4

Mario 2 = $8

Mario 3 = $12

Ninja Gaiden 1,2 = $15 total

Turtles 1,2 = $15 total

(OR $80 for all) I also have Ninja Gaiden III super rare $20-$25"

What do you all think?

Thanks,

  • Assuming you're looking to buy (your post is a bit confusing) I'd say leave NG III behind and take the rest.
  • Bah.... my bad!

I meant to say I may want to buy the following games, are these good deals?

Ok, so its these are pretty good deals?

I may pick up at least Ninja Gaiden and Mega Man!

  • Offer $75
  • I would check you local flea markets, thrift stores etc...for these games. These are fairly common games in the wild. I remember paying $10 for a Zelda when i first started collecting, and since then I"ve went thru 10 or so of them for less that $5, picked one up this week for .50. Good Luck...

Brad, I may want this game from you, if you are willing to part with it. Putting together a birthday present for someone.
  • Frankly, I think you can do better on most of those, if not all of 'em, unless those are complete games. Mega Man 4 might be a stretch, as it's quite popular (slightly more so than the other $10 game on the list below), but it can be done. These are about what I'd expect to pay for those, assuming they're loose and that I needed them (which I actually do need Ninja Gaiden III):

    Mega Man 2 = $8

    Mega Man 3 = $7

    Mega Man 4 = $10

Super Mario Bros. = $2 or less (I have one to spare, btw...50 cents plus shipping and it's yours.)

    Super Mario Bros. 2 = $5

    Super Mario Bros. 3 = $5

    Ninja Gaiden = $6

    Ninja Gaiden II = $6

    Ninja Gaiden III = $10

    TMNT = $4

    TMNT II = $6

If the games are all complete on the other hand, then jump all over it.
  • I agree that you should be able to do better than this for these games. Your best bet would be to try to snipe a couple of auctions for someones game collection on ebay. It takes some patience, but eventually you'll find an auction no one had their eye on and get it for next to nothing.
  • Thanks guys!

Well I got a CIB Ninja Gaiden (almost no visible wear anywhere on the cart, manual and box!) as well as a CIB Strider (a bit beat up).

So I think im gunna search around for some nice CIB Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3's.

Instead of making another post. What about these?

    NES controller - $3

    Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers - $3
    Commando - $2
    GOAL! - $2
    Kirby's Adventure-$3
    NFL-$2
    Ninja Gaiden-$3
    Sesame Street ABC-$.50
    Sesame Street 123-$.50
    Talespin-$3
    Tecmo Baseball-$2
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (x2)-$2
    Popeye-$2

Also, any advice when it comes to searching locally? In the area of San Diego, CA, it seems most Thrift stores and pawn shops know what they are selling and don't give good prices or even have anything in stock...

Me and a friend also went to a Swap Meet and got a few steals, but nothing as good as most of you get.

    Thanks,

    -Blink
  • Yeah okay we go to the swap meet and we spot one good retailer or seller, and so then I get with a slip on case Indiana Jones and the temple of doom made by tengen for 5$. Then also from that same seller I got with a big nintendo case Friday the 13th for 5$. All games worked flawlessly when we got home. Then the next seller, couple stands down [suprised!] had 10 about of boxed games and me and blink looked at each other and said pokay we need these, and pretty much the rest of the looses games were 10 bucks or MORE! So the owner had to park, and his knuckle head employees didn't know jack sh*t, so we were thinking, "we have 5 minutes to rack up a good deal. And ended up getting Double Dragon 3 Boxed, no manual for 10, Ninja gaiden CIB, and a CIB for strider, no cart. For 5$. So that was pretty good we thought. then we walk around for an hour finding nothing.... then spot a N64 2 controllers all cables nice mint condition, worked [tested] with Goldeneye for 25. Not bad eh? Then we start to use those hunting skills so we saw an xbox, and we ask you have any more video games, He had *aparently truckload of em but we decided to leaves cause we got there at 7 and it was 9:45 and we had plans to go airsofting that day at 10:00. Then we look around find another seller wearing a nintendo shirt, hey you have NES? Yes, but again these sellers wanted an avg 10 bucks for normal, no CIB zeldas or anything... So we stole a deal and got metal gear and i forgot another game for 15 bucks. Then all of a sudden it seems like the nintendo stands atrted appearing... but ALll loose games for 10 and boxed as min as 20 :/ And the systems were gay priced, top loading nes, 100 bucks... screw that... So yeah were going to go to a better cheaper one next time, then go back to that swap meet in a month and steal another deal from the knuckle heads.

Sorry that was long, more reading that a whole nes game LOL
