NES Starter Kit (with ROB!) and 5 Games

Here is another NES Starter Kit, with ROB.  The system works well, but the controllers may need the contacts cleaned since they're a bit slow to respond.  I haven't tested the ROB, and I wouldn't even know how to.

Take a look at the pictures, everything will probably need to be cleaned.  I do not have any other parts for ROB, and there are no batteries in it.

You will receive the following:
NES System
Standard coaxile TV cable
Standard power supply
2 NES Controllers
1 Light Gun
ROB and all the parts pictured

Games Included:
Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt
The Simpsons:  Bart vs. The World
Wrestlemania
Wrestlemania Challenge
Operation Wolf

Rules:
-  Auction starts now
-  Auction ends Monday, August 30, 2010 @ 11:59:59pm NA time or with Buy It Now
-  First bid is $25.00, BUY IT NOW IS $65.00

-  Shipping is $15.00 for lower 48 states and $20.00 everywhere else
-  I will allow proxy bidding on the final, winning bid only, up to a $5.00 price drop.  (Last bid is $16.00, you bid $20.00 and win, I will drop the final price to $16.50)

  • Does ROB (and the spinner) power up and move when you put batteries in and turn them on? And do both battery covers come with it?
  • Shipping included in the bid?

ROB powered up and moved with batteries.  The spinner I didn't test because I don't have any D batteries.

Shipping is additional.  If you win and shipping is less, I'll refund the amount, but if shipping is over the amount quoted, I'll pay for the difference.
  • I'll throw down $25
  • GL with the sale, I will be keeping an eye on it since I don't yet have the little robot turd.
  • Gah dangit, I just need the gyromite claws.
  • Noobish question but is that all the parts for the ROB?
  • Hopefully someone can answer this. I've never used a ROB or know what the parts list is. In fact, I never knew that ROB existed until I joined this forum. None of my friends growing up had one.
  • Looks like he's missing his "sunglasses".

And obviously a box and manual.

Playable condition though, assuming it works.

yeah its basicly all there but the gyromite game.
he doesnt really need the glasses to function , well ive never had a issue without the glasses , i think you only needed them if your tv was to bright for him to read . ive sold about a dozen over the years and never had a buyer with that issue.
There may be a problem using him on a hd tv , ive never tested a rob on one but if he works anything like the gun there might be.

Its a pretty damn good buy for $65+ ship.

Thanks for the replies on ROB.
  • Yeah as long as the gears work that ROB is as complete as you should need it. Hell I don't even remember having the sun glasses when I had my old one from 1985 for so so long (parted with it a few years ago.) It worked fine without the 'shades' in various lighting situations and positions.

As long as you can track down Gyromite and hopefully Stackup you could have fun with it.
  • 35$ <-- DING!
  • must... have... sexy... robot...
  • damn, I'm good
  • I hate auction that finish at 11h59 pm !!! >.> I can't bid since i'm sleeping ! darn ..
  • Winner is puffman @ $36.50.
