Also worked on Mario Kart: Super Circuit from 8/15 to 8/19, completing the 50cc using Mario on all Cups, including the Extra Tracks with varying rankings, tried the 100cc, beating the Super Circuit tracks only using Mario, also did some time trials as well, but as of yet, I'm not very good at this game, and I guess I'm just not into it as much as I used to be back when Super Mario Kart first came out on the SNES, F-Zero on the other hand, while feeling so cheap on Master difficulty is a rush. Might just take a bit longer to take to the Mario Kart one.

  • A few buddies, my girlfriend and I went on a road trip to Florida last week so I picked up Professor Layton and the Curious Village for the ride and I finished it off yesterday.

I'd already played Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, so I knew what to expect as far as gameplay goes: tons of different puzzles wrapped up in a simplistic point and click adventure. There were 120 puzzles in the main story and 15 challenge puzzles. Like Diabolical Box there was tons of variety to keep you interested and enough challenge to make you think.

There's no missable puzzles, so if you really don't care about the story at all, you can just zip through the dialog and get down to business, picking up the puzzles you didn't find at Granny Riddleton's. The story itself was pretty good, though I thought the one in Diabolical Box was better and less predictable. Either way, it was nice to finally use the passwords I got in Diabolical Box to see what it unlocks in Curious Village and vice versa. I really like that the games are connected like that.

In the end, I solved 134/135 puzzles, leaving just the final sliding puzzle. After a while it just wasn't worth it to put in any more time. Coincidentally, this is the exact same result I got in Diabolical Box. Everything, but the last sliding puzzle solved, oh well.

If you like puzzles and brainteasers and the like then I'd definitely recomend this game or it's sequels. They're especially good for a long trip since you can pause and save literally at anytime without losing any progress and without worrying about forgetting what you were doing.

  • Metroid Fusion

    8/23/2010

Last save point stats: Time 01:47 E=2099 M=250 PB=74 Main Deck

Clear Time 01:51 Rate for Collecting Items: 100% (got best ending)

Got F-Zero GP Legend later that afternoon, played the hell out of that all to the early morning the next day, cleared several story modes, but mostly been tackling the Zero Test, which while frustratingly hard, is somehow very addicting. I love the tracks in this game, much better than the very basic designs of Maximum Velocity.

Got two more games yesterday, Gradius Galaxies and Shaman King: Master of Spirits, played a few games of Gradius Galaxies, furthest I got was to stage 7 boss before losing my last life, chosing not to use continues. This game is pretty awesome, but finding it a slight bit difficult to play on a handheld. Shaman King is what I feel Castlevania should be like, this game is great, when I had played it last year on emulator I knew if ever I got the GBA (or DS) that this was a must get. So far I'm 51% into the game, time is at 03:00 exactly, playing on normal difficulty, last thing I did was defeat Joco (one of Yoh's friends, whom was possessed by Magister), and got Mic from him (Jaguar Swipe ability - can sprint fast and jump farther when used).

  • I got a PS3 not to long ago and have been having some fun with it. I have beat

    Uncharted 1- 3 Times & Platinum Trophy

    Uncharted 2- 2 Times & Platinum Trophy

Little Big Planet like 3 Times- But have only gotton like 93% of collectibles

    Bioshock 1

    MGS4- AWESOME!

Heavy Rain- 3 Times & Platinum Trophy

    For Retro-

I dont remember all of them but my favorites were

    Zelda 1 & 2

    Battletoads

    Contra

    Conkers BFD

    Zelda OoT

Mario Party 1, 2, and 3 (I have a LOT of free time and also love them!)

and a bunch of others I dont feel like listing

  • super mario wii done. beat the game on Thursday (after 4 days) and got all of the star coins on Friday (5 days). great game, but still could use improvements (like secret power-ups in SMB3). Still, overall a good game.
  • Beat Portal with the bonus levels. Those bonus levels were friggin hard at times.
  • I finally got the time to finish some games this year I never did as a kid.

    Castlevania 2: simons quest

    Shining Force II

    And for some newer ones

    Alan Wake

    Borderlands

    MW2

    DeathSpank(XBL - amazing game)

Im sure their are more but the thoughts escape me while I fight until 5pm at work.
  • I finished up Batman: Arkham Asylum. I found everything found in the story mode and beat a bunch of the challenges.

At first I didn't much care for the game, but after finally getting used to all the controls and figuring out how the game mechanics work this ended up being really awesome. The story was extremely good and the idea of setting a Batman game in the asylum was absolutely brilliant.

This game was delightfully dark and Mark Hamill's voice work as the Joker was perfect. Controls give you a ton a options once you get used to them and you there is a lot of exploring you can do. By the time you have all of Batman's gadgets, I'm pretty sure there's no where on the island that you can see that you won't be able to get to.

It's not the longest game in the world, but if you want to have a really good time with an action game then I definitely recommend this one.
  • I beat Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles yesterday but did not get the great ending.

Seems like I have to rescue 4 maidens and find Shaft and beat him. ALso I have to find the alternate routes too!
  • I been stuck on mame for the last month

beat sunset riders for MaMe with 21 credits ... was so close to the 20 credit challenge

only had to hit the last boss twice with the 1st man on the 21st credit

beat dodonpachi and progear , those were some fun shumps

turtles in time with 18 credits

    xmen 4 player 25 credits

    simpson 2 player 22 credits

cadilacs and dinosaurs for the 1st time 24 credits

  • Check the sig as it continually updates....

But I did get 200/200 on Deadrising 2: Case Zero this past weekend. Didn't mention it in the sig because it was only a $5 XBL download as a "teaser" to Deadrising 2. Tons of fun though!
  • Shaman King: Master of Spirits

    8/27/2010

    Beat it! Time 05:17, 93%

    9/1/2010

Time 07:35, 99% (just can seem to figure out what I'm missing, guess I'll have to start anew and map everything out)

Shaman King: Master of Spirits 2

    9/2/2010

Beat it! Clear Time 6:48:47, 90%

    9/8/2010

Time 11:16, 100% (was very difficult to figure out what I was missing with this one til I realized that by combining spirits, that also adds to the percentage of completion in this game, so was able to get my 100% for this one)

After beating both Shaman King games I played the hell out of F-Zero GP Legend, finishing all of the story mode (least favorite part of this game), earned all of the racers to use in Grand Prix and Time Attack, beat all of the Grand Prix (most familiar part of F-Zero, could care less about the story mode) cups, found my favorite racer in the game, Lucy Liberty, used her to get some great times in the Time Attack (fun part of the game), got all silver and golds in the Zero Test (another enjoyable mode) which was extremely difficult, still working on getting all of them gold, but at least don't have any more bronzes. This game is really awesome, so much replay, and totally addicting, was playing it all day some days, but currently having gotten a new game, Metroid Zero Mission, taking a break on F-Zero, it was kind of wearing me out anyway.

    Metroid: Zero Mission

    Metroid: Zero Mission

Clear Time 1:56:10, Rate for collecting items 99%, same ending as Normal difficulty with same percentage

  • Super Mario Bros. Wii 100%

    Super Mario 64 100%

    Super Mario Sunshine 95%

    Super Mario Galaxy 100%

God of War 1,2 and 3.

Call of Duty World at War

  • Castlevania SOTN 200.6%

hadnt played it in 5 years. still great.

Shadow Hearts Covanent. thought the end was bad. still have to play the third installment as soon as the slow ass ebay shipper gets it here.
  • Metroid: Zero Mission

    9/18/2010

Beat it! Normal mode. Clear Time 1:34:08, Items 10% (Morph Ball, Long Beam, Missiles 5, Bombs, Power Grip, Ice Beam, Plasma Beam, Space Jump, Gravity Suit [+ Varia given automatically once fully powered up], and Chozodia Mothership Map [accidently got this, wasn't about to go back and fight the Mother Brain again just to try to avoid getting this next time])

This low percentage gameplay was insane, I can imagine how much harder it will be on hard mode once I try it on that. Ridley was very diffucult to figure out how to beat. Getting through all the rooms of Metroids was quite tough with very few missiles. Blasting through all of the Zeebetite was aggrivating, being as they take more than 5 missiles to smash, had to set it up so that a Rinka let behind a missile and that it was right in front of me so that I could rapidly fire all 5 missiles plus nab the extra 2 and fire those immediately as well, each were a pain, especially that very last one, ugh, I had to save after destroying each one. And the Mother Brain, that took some patience that I haven't had to have that much of in a while, thakfully that once I finally beat her/it my escape was flawless. Later, without the suit, 1 hit by a Space Pirate and Samus is dead, with the suit, 2 hits, I made sure to save every time I reached a save room. Meta-Ridley required not only skill but a little bit of luck as well, so it seemed, okay maybe all skill, insanely crazy hard, but what bothered me most was the escape to the ship in the docking bay, nerve racking, those 2 metal pirates in particular that are guarding the door to the ship.

My reward, another new ending. Not sure when I'll try to tackle a low percentage game on hard mode, but I know that most likely I'm going to need to grab a few more items more to help me along.

  • beat Zelda Oracle of Ages today. man, that was a really good game. Took me about a week total. It's my first unbeaten Zelda game that I've beaten since Link's awakening many moons ago.
