Complete Set of Custom N64 End Labels

So, I talked to the dude that makes these:

http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=147393

http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/167560-custom-cartridge-labels/

He said that he would hook me/us up with a complete set of N64 labels for $100 each if I could get at least 4 people to pre-order them.  So, here's the deal.  I (as a hopefully honest moderator) will hold you money when we get 4+ peeps that want a set until you get the item.  This is because it never fails with pre-orders that someone won't have the $$ or will back out or something when the stuff's ready.

So, who's in?

1. Mario's Right Nut

-I'll pay seperately.

2.  Mr. Nintendo

3.  rayfield74

4.  Sparky1821

-Received 313.74 from 2,3,4

....???

Note:  All deposits will be non refundable (except for bulk discounts if we find enough people).

I sent him the question about if we'll have to cut them or not.  This was his response:

"They are printed on 3M Vinyl (not paper stickers) with a UV Lamination and computer die cut!"

Sound like quality to me.

Also, the deal is for the list listed below.  If you see any games that are not on the list, please let me know.  Otherwise, after we get done with this, you can make a deal with the guy for a set of your variants/NFR carts.

it makes me wish i had more than the 50 or so n64 carts so i could get these.

i would imagine there would be more than 4 people interested. mrn, do you know what the other labels look like (besides the mario one that is pictured on aa?). like do all of them come with a little picture as well as the title?
  • Well, the dude is in the process of making them. I just sent him a list of N64 games. image So, I don't know. Hopefully he will put that kind of effort into it. I'll ask him. image
  • how many n64 carts are there? i have all of mine in a drawer at home. when you pull it out, you just see plain gray, black, and blue things in there with no idea what games they are. those labels are truly awesome!

There are a lot more variants than that!  (3 of OoT even.)  I'd imagine that after we get this complete set together, you could get your duplicate labels directly from him for your variant games.

  • yea but at $3 each is a little much. i am only counting major variants like cart color. i am not counting players choice.
  • The deal is for the list posted above.
  • i'm in, where do i send the payment too, can you get the 32X labels from the same guy too ?

I was waiting for you to jump into this.
  • DO you know if they are precut, or just a single sheet and we have to cut each one out?
  • I was planning for posting the labels on gameSniped and I'll mention this too for you guys.
  • I would be in on this, but it leaves me with a few questions. 1. The guy is fairly new to Digital Press it seems, so handing over cash is a little ehhhhh 2. After years of taking stickers off my carts, putting them on seems a little wrong and odd 3. I would agree with the 'need to be pre-cut statement 4. At nearly 300 labels, I hope he has the will power to push through to make nice ones like the Mario 64 Cart Label

    5. douche bags make numbered lists image

They would be $0.33 each if there's 300 for $100.

Also, there's a ton of cart color variants.  I don't collect cart only so I'm not up on them all, but I can at least think of Turok 2 / Hydro Thunder / one of the Bass games (Bass Master 2000?) / and some NBA or NFL title that comes in red and gray.

I think he meant $3 each for every additional label purchased as that's the price of individual labels.

  • I added an example picture.

We'll wait until we have at least 4 people to start with the pre-payments.
  • I made labels like these for myself a couple of years ago.  I just bought return address labels, got a template from their website, and pasted box art into each little label and printed them off on my color printer.

Edit:  Someone PMed me asking for my labels.  Here they are in JPG format:  http://img830.imageshack.us/img830/6172/n64labels.jpg

The labels are at 300 dpi and made for Avery 18167 Mailing Labels.

You can use the empty spaces to make your own template to fill them with box art of other games.
  • wow, those look amazing mrn! not having end labels is one of the primary reasons I don't collect N64. unfortunately, it's also why I only have like 20 carts :-\. I hope you get a few more people on board - would really like to see a whole collection with these.
  • What I want to know is what's EverDrive and is it real? image
  • that looks awesome!!!! i would love to get a set.....pm sent.
  • I sent him the question about if we'll have to cut them or not.  This was his response:

    Sound like quality to me.

  • While this is a neat idea, I can definitely understand the comments of not wanting to add MORE stickers to carts after removing stickers and cleaning them up.

For about double the cost of this, you could order enough Universal Media Cases and print box art/inserts from The Cover Project, and probably end up with an end product that stores quite a bit better on the shelf.
  • Or you could get some cart protectors and put them on there and not spend days printing off the stuff. image

The Everdrive is a Genesis/Mega Drive/SMS/32X flash cart, and it is very real.  It's the Sega equivalent to Bunny's Powerpak, albeit not related in anyway beyond being similar products.

It is sold as a naked pcb, so the labels that he creates are really the only labels currently available for it.  He also sells box art for it.  Pretty cool, just a little pricey for my taste.
  • no beast wars label? fail
  • I would be in for a Nintendo published titles only lot but there are just so many sports and junk on the n64 I'd never want a full set.
  • Come on! We only need one more pre order!!
  • It looks like his work is quality, and the price isn't bad. If I had the $$, as well as a majority of N64 games, I'd be in. Hopefully you find a 4th one soon

edit: question already answer, my fault for not reading through the thread
