I found this N64 "Glove Controller"

I found this at my local goodwill clearance center its a wrist/glove controller for the N64. It works well and I tried playing goldeneye007 with it apparently you steer/control with your wrist while your fingers push buttons on the pad apparently this is a one hand controller. It is from a company called Reality Quest.

  • Don't know if this is the same thing, but they use to make all kinds of things for handicapped children so they could play video games as well. Nintendo would contract 3rd party companies to have different things made for children's hospitals.

  • It's a 3rd party wearable controller.

They were made for N64, PS1, and PC, as well.

I always wanted to get one for the PS1 so I could one-hand RPGs while I was on the phone with my girlfriend, but they weren't in stores for very long.
  • i did some research these seem rarer than the nes power glove

Without a doubt.  I only ever saw these in the store for a couple of months, and there were maybe 2 or 3 runs of advertisements in a Tiger Direct catalog.
  • haha ok well I was just wondering if anyone else has ever stumbled across these I am getting used to it. my bad I guess its uncommon it turns out these came with an instruction video on how to use it and operate it (something I think most 3rd party controllers should do)
  • They also make one for the PS1 and Ps2.

Maybe he was truthful and he was talking on the phone with his girlfriend, he just left that part out?

If they made a one-handed keyboard, that'd be a totally true statement, but I don't recall too many PS1 games that made me want to whip it out and get down to business.
  • I had the PS1 version of this glove, it worked like crap.
  • I wonder if that glove could make Superman 64 seem playable to the least.
  • The glove controller is very hard to find, I have always wanted one.
  • I bought one similar for PS1, CIB, at my GW a while back. Have not had time to try it yet. It looks a lot like the N64 version.

Keyboards can be used one handed. Believe me.

Fair enough, but I guess I'm not as dexterous as the Bond villain from Tomorrow Never Dies.

  • Here's a pic of my PS1 glove.

  • Time to Purple Ganon it 64-bit style!

Now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure my copy of Ocarina of Time had a Purple Ganon...
