Action 52 Loose

I happen to actually come across this in the wild... I just thought it was cool because i've never seen one before especially in the wild... But the guy (a video game booth) wanted 50 for it.. You guys think this is a good price... I would try to talk him down to at least 40 but let me know what you guys think...

  • $40 - $50 isnt a bad price at all..
  • Does the label was blue or clear?
  • If the label was blue, I'd have taken it. Clear, on the other hand, I'd have tried to get him down to at least $40-$45.
  • What's the difference? I can't find two images for it in the database...
  • Instead of the label's background being clear, it'll be a light blue color...about the apparent color of the sky part of the SMB screenshot in my sig image .
  • I have a copy of the game with the blue label still attached to a sticker backing/sheet. If you look closely, you can tell that the blue label is actually larger than the label area on the cartridge. I don't know if anyone has checked whether the blue labeled carts have another label underneath, but my guess is that there may not be a blue label variant, and that it was instead just a sticker included with all the Rev.A copies of Action 52, and some people decided to put the sticker on the label and others threw them away/used them on something else. That would explain why it is so much harder to find. The majority of the NOS Action 52s that were found in recent years were all Rev.B as far as I know (all the ones I had were Rev.B) so we just need someone with a sealed Rev.A copy to open it up and see whether there's a blue sticker included with the game.
