Nes game soundtracks ?uestion

I was looking up mainly donkey kong items, big fan.  But the japan released soundtracks from the Famicom / Nes come in a small sleeve w a dark brown / maroon colored packaging.  With #'s on them it seems people are selling them seperate from what used to be a box set.

Does anyone know how many soundtracks are in this set.  I saw at least 5 but I think there are more.

They go in price 30-100 each, seperated.

  • This is the complete set of the Nintendo Sound History Museum, minus the "ND" numbered Super Mario Bros. 3 soundtrack that was a promo from Nintendo Dream Magazine in Japan. I have that too, of course. So, that makes 21 in the set!

Also, $30-$100 is a bit much for them, but I suppose some titles could be up there these days.
  • damn. anything more exclusive u dont find in the game cart itself? or does it sound as raw as it did back in the day. always wondering what was on them. as sellers n sites i see these at don't give much info on them.

that's a rough estimate on ebay. but w limited out at the time a seller can name the price n that's what the public see's.

    that looks sexy.

is there an actual box that it came in?
  • Just the music found on the cart. Bunch of custom art and stuff for each disc though. There was a box, I just don't have it . . . or a pic of it. I do wonder how these were distributed originally.
  • What kind of disc are they using? CD, LD or vinylrecords?
  • yeah i just noticed n didn't do research up on it. w the #'s in the bottom left hand corner when i saw just a few of them. thanks.
