Can anyone confirm which GBA titles were available on launch day in the US?

I've seen a lot of various articles on the GBA launch in the US, but almost all of them are slightly different. Seems like the list ranges from 15-25 titles depending which one you read. Can anybody confirm with any sort of proof which games were actually available on day one? Thanks!

  • F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
    Super Mario Advance
    Army Men Advance
    Chu Chu Rocket
    Dodge Ball Advance
    Fire Pro Wrestling
    Fortress
High Heat Major League Baseball 2002
    Iridion 3D
    Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure
    Rayman
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2
    Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
    Top Gear GT Championship
    Tweety and the Magic Jewel

Kind of rough on these I see.  I collect for my systems in order of release.  Sometimes I have to do alot of cross referencing to nail down some dates, but this should be close.  It was just a quick check of about three to four lists.  I check into it more in depth and edit as needed but these are the 15 that have shown up on every list I have seen.

  • I'm not 100% certain but I thought Pinobee was one as well. Also you're missing Castlevania Circle of the Moon. I recall positively Castlevania because I had bought it (along with Super Dodgeball, Iridion, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 and my brother got Pinobee and Top Gear GT (GT Advance.) I imported that's why I could afford so many as I had the system since April that year along with Mario, F-Zero and Chu Chu Rocket.

Yeah these 15 seem to be the minimum that I find on every list, although most lists add 2 or more titles to this 15. So I'm mostly willing to believe this. I'm wondering if anybody else can remember buying a GBA on release day (not a few days later) and remembers buying any other game not on this list?

  • Add the two I listed as I bought one and saw the other one picked up too.
  • I know my buddy got his GBA on launch day with the Castlevania game mentioned
  • I remember Circle of the Moon, Fire Pro Wrestling, and Super Dodgeball as those were the titles I got on day 1.
  • The funny thing related sorta to this, I got the Castlevania game last weekend at the flea for $5 all complete in the box -- blew me away. image
