EGM #8 Scanned (Jan 1990)
My parents asked me to clear my old stuff from their garage. As I was doing so,
I found a huge box of at least 50 old EGMs. The oldest of the bunch was this issue.
It's #8 from January 1990. It's surprisingly in decent shape with minor damage.
Anyway, I brought it into work and thought I'd scan some pages.
I am too lazy to scan the whole thing, so I scanned some articles, ads, etc.
The ads are funny and did not age well at all, same goes for the whole layout.
You can probably tell I suck at using a scanner (bad cropping, etc).
In the reviews section, they mixed up Golden Axe with Space Harrier!!
The small ad on page 82 (Funco) shows the humble beginnings of FuncoLand,
which was swallowed up by GameStop.
Turbo Grafx 16 VS Genesis....Well, we all know who won that war.
The Super Nintendo wasn't even in the picture yet.
Anyway, the last pic is the back cover... enjoy!

Never heard of Super Grafx. Love all the old unlicensed developer ads too. lol
Wow, that makes me feel really old. Especially since I own a SuperGrafx.
You don't happen to have a copy of either 97 or 98 that has Laura Croft from Tomb Raider on the cover, do you?
No, sorry. My subscription ended when the 16-bit era ended.
