So I'm 2/3 done a mission for the brotherhood of steel, searching all the vaults.  I am pretty close to the last vault when I get surrounded by these damn bugs.  I see a shack in the distance and figure that would be a great place to heal up and regroup.  I make a break for it, I'm so close!  I can hear my heart racing in the game, my health is fading, I make it to the door and click enter, YES!!!  I made it! 

BOOM!!!

Oh no!  Something hit me right before I entered. 

It's ok, I'll be fine. 

I go in the door and it auto saves..  as usual, and what happens?  That last hit KILLS ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  My last save that wasn't an autosave???  3 frickin hours ago!!!! 

So I figure "well, lets see what happens when it loads the auto save..." 

Boom, dead.  I could let the auto load run all night and watch myself die walking through a door over and over again and it will never end. 

Sigh, and so ends my rant. 

I'm on an official new vegas vacation. 

Damn it all.

    That same thing happened to me in Half Life 2... sucks balls. Oh, and recently my PSP ran out of battery, and I didn't save the huge ammount of leveling I did in Marvel Ultimate Alliance image

    dude, that sucks... it's such a piss off, it's kind of a side quest and I'm just thinking of skipping it... oh well.

    When I played Fallout 3, I had atleast 900+ Saves for the 50 hours of gaming I did to avoid this. It felt so cheap sometimes, but I was so afraid of a game ending bug (it happened to me in Oblivion) that I literally saved after almost every action.
