Favorite Sonic Genesis Game

Huh? What? Sega? Sonic? Genesis? What gives?
Well, what gives is that it's the 10th poll. Instead of doing something Nintendo related, I figured I'd switch it up for every 10th. Why? I don't know. Just felt like doing it. So there. No big conspiracy.

Note: I didn't include Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine because it's just a copy of PuyoPuyo and not a real Sonic game. (Same goes for Kirby's Avalanche... Oh, And Snood is a rip-off of Bust-A-Move. So it's lame too.)

    This is a tough one. I think the music is better in Sonic 1, but the overall game is slightly better in Sonic 2. Still, Sonic CD may be my all time favorite Sonic game.

    Hmm... Let me say that S3&K PWNS ALL. But, here's how I would rank the all of the original Sonics for the Genesis.



    Sonic 3 & Knuckles

    Sonic 2

    Sonic 1

    tie between Sonic 3 and Sonic & Sonic Knuckles as both make the ultimate sonic game image

    Sonic 2 & Knuckles

    Sonic Spinball

    Sonic 3D Blast

    Sonic Spinball was awesome and my favorite. Yeah I know it's different but it was extremely challenging to get the required chaos emeralds you needed for the bosses at the end of each stage. The control was extremely responsive as well and changes the game speed was a nice option.



    Other than that, I would say Sonic 2 because of the revolutionary changes from Sonic 1. It was simply amazing to say the least.

    Sonic 2. The Special Stages and Super Sonic blew me away as a kid. So cool.

    Meh, they all were the same to me. No clear favorite, I just enjoyed them all. Probably played the most of Sonic 2 though.

    I'm really surprised I'm the only vote for Sonic & Knuckles. I mean, I liked the addition of Knuckles to 2 & 3, but it was more of a novelty for me than anything. I played the hell outta S&K.

    As a Genesis lover, I enjoy all of these games (well maybe not sonic 3d blast..).



    I have to say even though I voted Sonic 3, Sonic Spinball is totally underrated!

    Sonic 3D Blast gets so much hate, but it really was a descent game.

    I myself went with Sonic 3 & Knuckles. It was just an epic journey.

    Sonic 2 for me. I have a lot of good memories of playing that game with my brother and cousins when I was a kid.

    THis was a hard, hard choice for me between Sonic and Knuckles and Sonic 3 and Knuckles. But in the end I went with Sonic 3 and Knuckles just because I feel Sonic 3 is the superior game. I played the hell out of 2 though when I was younger and recently tried to beat it again.

    Sonic Spinball is my favorite as well, mainly because it was one of the first games i had for the genesis growing up and i played it to death.

    Pfff fuck that. Blue Sphere has like 130 million levels.

    If that's a mini-game, well. It's a big mini-game. More of a mega-mini-game if you think about it.

    Sonic 3 and Knuckles (how it should be played anyway)

    However, all of them including spinball and 3D blast are very nostalgic to me and I love them all.
