Namco Museum 50th Anniversary

I owned this game for GameCube a while back, and I traded it in with some other stuff a while ago. It's a nice collection of Namco arcade games, such as Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Galaxian, Rally X, Bosconian, Sky Kid, Dragon Spirit (you may know this from the NES version, well the arcade version's cool too), Xevious, Pole Position, Mappy, Dig Dug, all that good shit. The game select screen has 80s hit music such as Workin' For The Weekend, Come On Eileen, Joystick, Talkin' In Your Sleep, so forth.

This is just a random "awesome game thread" and I really like this game.

  • I never got it, because I have the original GC Namco Museum which I think had a better selection plus some cool 'arrangement' versions the arcade in Japan I think saw unless they were console only I can't remember. Either of them are fantastic packages if you're into those titles though. Shame they cheaped hard on the DS game with so very little, same with the PSN(PS3) release too.
  • I've heard of this collection of games, have even seen it a few times. Never had any GC playability until I got a Wii though.

Yes I have the original because it's got Pac-Mania unlockable, it's my favorite arcade game for some reason.
  • That's one of the big reasons I didn't switch up(down?) to the anniversary pack. I think Pole Position 2 was gutted out as well.
  • This is a cool collection, but as someone who owned the original PS2/XBOX/GC release that had most of the same games (plus the awesome arrange versions, which were cut out of the 50th Anniversary version), I felt a little burned after it came out. Especially after I bought it and found how little extra it has compared to the earlier one. Still a good compilation though if you didn't have the first release (Dragon Spirit for the win).
  • I enjoy all the collections, my favorite by far is the Konami classics wtih Yie Ar Kung Fu and Shaolin Road, I have one word bitches (GUTS)

Pac-Mania is unlockable in 50th Anniversary, as well.

Nope, Pole Position II was in 50th Anniversary to boot.

  • Well then what was it, something was missing that or it was a virtual copy not worth the effort.
