Finished off Halo Reach on Heroic last week (no patience for Legendary) and should beat Dead Rising 2 this weekend. Then it'll be trying to 100% DR2 while playing some multi matches of Halo in between.
Currently playing my PSone. Oh, forgot that I did beat some PS games earlier this year.
Very early this year, don't remember when, may have had my logs on them in my laptop, before it died, but rebeat Doom 1 & 2, and Wipeout XL, can't remember if anything else.
Syphon Filter 2
5/13/2010
Beat it! (Picking up where I left off back in 2005, was only on stage 5, I finally got back to this one and finished it for my first time)
Syphon Filter
5/15/2010
Beat it! (Picked up where I left off at from 2007, stage 8, beat it my first time)
Okay, up to date now, more recently...
Rayman 2: The Great Escape
9/29/2010
Beat it! 800/800 Lums (90% complete, which I think is as much as you can get for the PS version of this game), Time 6:57 (This was my second time beating this game, first time was back in 2005)
Rayman Rush
9/29/2010
97.3% complete ([Time Attack 12/12, Championship 12/12, Lums 12/12, Target 12/12], finished this game all in one day, completed it all as far as I'm aware of, so wonder what am I missing since my percentage is kind of at an odd number)
Spider
9/30/2010
Beat it! Discs found 59/38 (This was my second time finishing this game, first time was 5 years ago, but this time I found one more disc extra that I missed my first time through it)
Currently trying to beat Skeleton Warriors, getting very close to beating this one, made it to Baron Dark, the final boss. Been playing this game for a couple days now, tough game, but pretty cool, glad I'm finally giving it a chance.
This year Ive only beaten a couple of games. Dino Crisis 1 and 2, Kameo, CODMW 1 and 2 and I think I beat Luigi's Mansion for the first time as well this year.
Halo Reach 10/10 - Great game! Short and sweet campaign, awesome multi-player
Mafia 2 8/10 - Awesome graphics! Good gameplay. Great story. Suprising that no one else has done a mafia game close to this good yet.
Dante's Inferno 7/10 - Very enjoyable game. Had a good time running through this game and getting all the achievements.
Suikoden 5 9/10 - Haven't beat this one yet but the story is great and making me keep wanting to play it. I like how they are bring the story back to the Suikoden world but don't like how there is no Pesmerga or Yuber
Tales of Vesperia 9/10 - Great game!! Actually been thinking about playing this one again. I like the music and artwork alot. The biggest downfall of this game is the sidequests are random and you would probably never find them without a guide. Other then that it is a great RPG and I wish we had more games like it on next gen systems.
Final Fantasy 13 6.5/10 - Good game but doesn't quite live up to the Final Fantasy name. The graphics are amazing but the game was way too linear and the ci'eth stones seem more like a mission mode then actual sidequests. The grinding at the end is just tedious as well. I did enjoy the game but do not look forward to going back and finishing the rest of the achievements.
Not yet beaten, but finally after having put the game on hold for a couple years, I make some progress.
Porsche Pro Cup (Spent several hours on this game last night, and finally beat Porsche Pro Cup, placing 1st on both the first two tracks, 2nd on both of the later tracks. This was for me by far the hardest of the Special Events to place gold in. So far.)
GT Racing Championship (used the Mclaren F1 GTR for this one, placing 1st on the first track, 3rd on the second, and 1st again on the last, finally finishing with gold place on this very hard competition, and being so, opened up the last of the Special Events, Endurance Racing Competition)
Well, just like with Rage Racer, I'm probably going to be stuck on this very last circuit for a very long time, it was hard enough getting used to the high speed racing of the Mclaren, but with the new car, Phantom, which is much faster, oh boy, taking tight turns is going to be crazy hard, might take me a while just to achieve bronze.
Okay, update, beat NfS: High Stakes, completely. Didn't know at first that I was able to use any car that I wanted to for the Endurance Race, so I used the BMW Z3 Roadster, no problem, though it was a very long battle (7 coarses, each 4 laps), it was easy, piece o'cake.
Oh, and still playing Skeleton Warriors. I've gotten really good at this game for the most, made it to Baron Dark a few more times, each time with 8 lives to waste against him, and each time he took them all from me. Boy this guy is tough, awesome last boss though. Great game, very old school, somehow feels like I'm playing a game on the Sega Genesis but with better graphics and sound.
Also working on Ridge Racer Type 4, but finding it boring to even bother earning all of the cars since in order to get some of the lamer slower cars I have to purposely fall behind and do less than 1st place, just to find out it just isn't worth it, so not sure how I'm going to go about this one.
Just finished Super Metroid today. Awesome game. Never played it before, so it took me about two weeks my first time through.
Clear time: 10:38 Item recovery: 71%
We will meet again, Super Metroid. Oh yes, we will.
Oh man, you lucky dog. I was blown away the first time I played through this game a few years back. I don't know how it stayed off my radar as a kid, but what a game.

I thought Illusian of Gaia was fun, but in the end I was a little disappointed in it. I can't really put my finger on it, but it something about it struck me as not that great.

Yeah, I had the same feeling. I don't think the story was very well told and the ending fight isn't quite as epic as I thought it should have been. The game feels rushed, like they didn't get everything they wanted into it.
Used Feisar for all races, got gold on all of them (Vector, Venom, Rapier, Challenge 1, Phantom, Challenge 2)
Wip3out
10/7/2010-10/8/2010
Finished all challenges, got gold on each (Race, Time, Weapon, and Combo)
Got 2 new games for the DS last weekend, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, and Portrait of Ruin, so I've been playing a lot of both of them since then, really enjoying them. Got the bad ending on each, but currently spending time Mastering subweapons in Portrait of Ruin, as well as taking on quests, and in Dawn of Sorrow, going around collecting souls off of enemies - nearly have them all - also just found 3 hidden ones (Flying Humanoid, Mothman, and Yeti).
Over the weekend I beat Rygar: The Legendary Adventure for PS2.
I have to say, this was not a good game which is really a shame because it had a lot of great elements they were just poorly executed all across the board.
Obviously, it bears the same name as the NES game Rygar, it's set in ancient Greece and your primary weapon is the diskarmour, but that's where the similiarities end.
The action is very similiar to God of War (which it predates by well over 2 years), but he way it's executed is terrible. While stringing together a combo, it is impossible to change directions, so if you pressed the button one too many times then you're stuck doing the whole combination until you either finish or you get railed by an enemy.
The camera placement is generally terrible which pretty much ruins any of the platforming sections and far too often results in you running into a new room, only to have the camera switch to the exact opposite focus so that you immediately run back in the other direction and out of the room.
But the only thing worse than the story/script was the voice acting. I would imagine the voice actors from Symphony of the Night and Resident Evil get together to laugh at this audio in this game. The emotions and inflections were a mess and the story was so nonsensical I couldnt help but laugh.
For instance, at one point you're confronting one of the main antagonists and for no reason at all the damsel in distress breaks into song. Then the antagonist is swayed by her singing. It was awful and made precious little sense. Plus the characters movements during the cut scenes almost universally looked out of place.
On the plus side, it was short and it had some fairly good exploration in it. Honestly, while playing I'd have a pretty good time exploring and finding things right up until a cut scene would pop up and ruin it. The only problem with the exporation is that there's plenty of things you could go back and retrieve once you get a new ability, but the game is set in a pretty linear fashion so it would take forever to go back and search around a new area and in a game this poor it just wasn't worth the time.
This was far from the worst game I've played and if it wasn't for the story/acting it might not have been too bad, but you really aren't missing anything if you miss this one.
I had never played any of the Metal Gear Solid games (or the original Metal Gear games for NES) up until last week when I finally gave this a run and it was a fantastic experience.
I really loved the focus of stealth over combat and the the boss battles were all pretty badass. The only real downfall is that the game is fairly short. My in game time was something like 10.5 hours, granted that doesn't count all the time I spent getting killed or goofing off that doesn't get saved, but still it's not a huge time sink.
Interestingly enough, the cut scenes were easily some of the longest I've been exposed to which can be a serious flaw depending on the game, but I liked the story so much that it ended up being a pretty big plus.
One thing is for sure, I'm seriously looking forward to the rest of the games in the series.
2 nights ago I beat NEW Super Mario Bros. Wii. LOL! It took me a year to beat this game. I got lazy around World 8-4 and layed off this game for months. Now I'm trying to go after those damn Star Coins now. I have all of them except I can't get to World 8-7 to appear.
Kingdom Hearts is one of the games that surprised me the most in all my years of playing. It did not appeal to me by itself, but my girlfriend insisted I give it a try. I'm damned glad I did, great game.
Just beat Super Meat Boy on XBL and Goldeneye for Wii yesterday on my day off. Super Meat Boy is pure insanity, by "beating it", you unlock about 200 more levels that are even more insane than the last one...
For the PS3, I took out Red Dead Redemption (man, does that game drag out at the end), and Killzone 2. Both very good games. I went back to Resident Evil (ps1) after a 2 month hiatis and finished that off as well as Final Fantasy 1 on the origins disc.

I was surprised too. None of my friends could convince me to try it until a few months ago. I thought it would be childish. I'm glad to see I was wrong.
Finally beat Final Fantasy!! The feeling is just indescribable, what an amazing game! Took me a few weeks, I kinda feel it was worth the time and effort as I actually beat it, but my dad just laughs at me...
